>"Fuck you, you don't pay my sub"

>*bunny hops* "GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGGOGO"

>"Get good faggot" (has not done anything considered hard in game ever and fears the day they are called out on it)

>"What do you mean do better? you no life fag"

So whats the appeal of mmos for the giga casual? You have the genuine hardcore that love progression and minmaxing, the people i would consider on places like this that consider themselves 'average' but still can top dps charts or be an excellent tank or healer but dont want to make it their lives, the 'middle aged lonely women that call everyone 'hun' and use the game largely as a instant messenger/mothering simulator, the pvp shitkings that adore the gank and spank and god bless em and finally the giga casual.

Giga casuals are not the 'i play from time to time lol' player companies label "light users" but the people that refuse to try or improve. When the rest of us may see group content as 'the party only moves as fast as the slowest member' or 'whenever i do worse i slow the whole thing down' they instead dont want to do anything but feel they are owed everything regardless. Often in sub games its a clear 'fuck you you dont pay my sub' scenario but these 'raid tourists' dont want to do any kind lateral thinking or actual gameplay and will get extremely upset when questioned about it.

So why do you think they play games like these where they don't want to play? I will always remember during Mists of Pandaria where Blizzard banned anyone using a bot designed to auto silence spellcasters in PVP and it also caught thousands of these giga casuals who were using it to do their entire rotation in raids because "how the fuck am i meant to do a rotation AND not stand in shit in raid finder!? thats literally impossible!" and while its possible some of them are medically retarded i think its also the case some are just lazy and do not want to try.

What do you think makes them put the time in if they dont care and just want to hang at the back hoping they aren't noticed? some digital beta that wants a power trip in a strange way? a loner who wants people to praise them for their gear they dont want to earn normally?

It seems like you only see these in mmos and stuff like rts or fps never have these shitters to the degree mmorpgs do.

What makes a man a giga casual? do you know any personally?

Ruining someone else's fun.

>The Battleship player that doesn't angle.

>The CV player who free xp'd his carrier and doesn't know how to manually drop.

>The Destroyer that didn't take Concealment Expert

>The IJN DD who tries to shoot people

>The Scharnhorst that shows broadside despite having Turtleback armor

Gradually, I began to hate casuals.

The social aspect.

like they were only using a silence spell all the time? I just started playing Wow wrath in private servers & havent reached endgame yet, so maybe I dont get it well, but thats what im reading. If true, how the hell no one toke notice of it during raids?

The Multiplayer aspect. It's more of a social thing than an entertainment thing for them.

How people still play these games when they are obviously designed with freemium addiction tactics.

These games are not made for your enjoyment. The fact that you can derive fun from them is your own handicap

Any MMO released after 2004 is for casuals. This includes Vanilla WoW.

Star Trek Online is the ulimate giga casual game.

You'll hit max level in 2 days. The progression is actually pretty fun up until you realize it's ulimitely pointless and there is no end game. Everything is story content and none of it is difficult or requires teamwork or multiple players at all. All content is designed for a single player.

The end-game is nothing but an endless grindfest, but not the usual sort. STO end-game is ship collecting for ships that have no purpose but visuals because none of the content you play is difficult. Whales buy these ships, which is the ulimate point of the game, or you can instead grind, but you can only grind about an hour a day per character before you hit the currency cap, which means grinding equates to having 15 characters if you are a "hardcore" grinding type of person. Grinding means running the exact same super easy PVE queue with 4 other random players 50 times per character per day. Most people just quit the game at this point, except for the goodest of goys who stay and prefer to instead purchase ships for $60 a piece; and they come out with new ships every week or two.

>>15556180

also once your grinding goal is achieved and you now have all the hot dogs / currency enough to buy that new shiny ship; you buy the ship, and then continue to run the exact same super easy PVE queue with it to purchase the next ship, and repeat this cycle until you kill yourself or quit the game.

Elder Scrolls Online.

The overworld is pretty fun. Best MMO for exploration, but it's very easy. The only challenge comes from trying to solo public and instanced dungeon and Cyrodiil PvP.

This is the last place to be bitching about casuals in MMOs, it's utterly lousy with them.

No sub but microtransactions out the ass. And ESO was by Zenimax and some slave one-trick pony company, Bethesda and Todd had nothing to do with it.

ESO was blatantly going for the casual as fuck Skyrim player. They did everything in their power so they wouldn't feel too far from home. Just look at the UI, it is the same as Skyrim. It wasn't made to be successful, it was made to milk those casuals even more through MTs and Subscriptions. The most disgusting in all of this is that they were right, for the initial investment, it is profitable as fuck.
