Anyone know if this is any good? Looks like it got rare out of nowhere and I’m wondering if it’s something worth holding onto or if I should sell it. Looks like it’s a cross between Metroid, Castlevania, Pokemon… and Deviant Art.

Visually it looks like garbage, but I’ve heard people swear on it though their taste is questionable and like I said, it got rare for whatever reason.
It’s also made by the devs from Henry Hatsworth which often ends up on /v/ recommendation charts.

Decent, but lots of backtracking. They announced a 3DS remake with warp rooms and other improvements last year, but I don't think it was heard from since.

This. It's also kind of slow and too easy, thus making the backtracking more tedious. If you play it on an emulator though, you can increase the speed and these issues are alleviated. A few years ago I played through the game on 150% speed, and I had much more fun than when playing normally.

Started playing a few days ago myself. Definitely a kids game, but fairly competent thus far for what it is despite how it looks.

It's for people like me who aren't too keen with Metroid/Mega Man.
After playing Monster Tale, I got a lot more confident and started playing Mega Man.
