Starmade
Its been atleast two whole years since we last ran this, and now with a major weapon, shield, and power system overhaul, along with NPC factions that slowly expand into sprawling empires, we might as well roll again.
What is starmade?
Starmade is free block based autism in space, less physics based than space engineers but superior in combat, and the fact that you can make absolutely massive ships without destroying your toaster or the server. The weapon system is complex, you can combine the effects of different modules for interesting results. missile launchers that eject counter flares, mine layers, homing or mass dumbfire missiles, torpedoes. Cannons and beams have penetration values and chances for overpenetration if you are firing at something vastly underarmoured with a high power shot. Even EVE style logistics weapons such as power drains and transfers are able to be made.
NPC factions will now go out and create what they need using only what they have, meaning that the NPC faction must send mining ships to strip something down for parts and be able to purchase the ship to spit it out, they slowly take over sectors up to an extent and have different baseline attitudes. They also trade and stock trade stations in routes.
Our previous exploits as a board on starmade have included: Stealing the un-linked head-admin account on a major server, and then taking over the server because they had no contingency for that. and stealing some child's supercapital borg cube from his donator protected territory by pushing it away with our own massive supercap, causing him to quit.
The game is a bit dead at the moment due to mod fuckery, the power update pissing people off, and people waiting for the beta release (apparently soon) to bring life back into the game.

Ive found a good server and spot for us to start, no rules, pirates infesting our sector for us to blow up, several planets worth of resources and atleast 7 different shops.
