>Enter the bowels of the CREO facility and explore an old and abandoned Quality Assurance lab created to push CREO’s tech to the limit. Warren will face Dr. Rischboter’s deadly test chambers that, for some reason, feel like torn straight out of a twisted Wild West TV show!
>Fight through the mad doctor’s training rooms and try modifying them yourself for increased rewards by combining up to 4 of the 16 insane modifiers available. At the end of each stage, fight against distinct Challengers, powerful opponents forged from the training scenarios who are equipped with 30 unique new equipment pieces – armors, weapons, and implants - that you can take for yourself!

Ignoring the missed opportunity to stylize it as "AUgmented," I think this looks pretty cool. I have no intention of buying it since The Surge had as many problems as cool things, but the gameplay from this may give us a better idea of what to expect from The Surge 2.
The reason I say that is because the first DLC, A Walk in the Park, had much better enemy and level design than most of the main game. It was also located in the early game rather than in the late/end/postgame sections, which meant it would be more relevant to more players; these are small details, but they do point to the developers understanding The Surge's problems and wanting to fix or alleviate them, which hopefully means that same care will be applied to the sequel.
I know many people dismissed The Surge due to its rough launch and problems, but I felt it was a rough gem in 2017. I'm cautiously optimistic for its sequel, if the difference from Lords of the Fallen to The Surge is any indicator of progress.
