We're telling you that the nature of having the x3 method to revive is an autowin because it revives your entire team. There is nothing in the game that gives you a straight up revive let alone the whole team. You have grantable guts but that is to prevent a death than a straight up revive and not only that, it gives everyone a free np charge. Even if in this challenge quest it applied a debuff to get rid of the charge straight up wanting a full team party revive in a challenge quest at any moment you wipe is still an autowin button. Asking for a full team revive when it doesn't even get hard until Ozy comes out is asking for your win to be handed to you because that gives you effectively 12 lives against 9 (nero counting as 3). Would you suggest applying doom so you only come back a full revive for 3 turns? I'd still say that's broken.

You want it a little bit easier, take Iri with you, spam guts on everybody as well as heal. Take a bunch of evade spammers try to evade it out. Take a support cu alter and slap him in the back, by the time he comes out he should be able to survive and murder everything left. Or a castle in the snow Herc. If RNG goes right he'll have 4 turns to finish what you need. This is why they take the option to revive away, it's too fucking powerful to let you have even with debuffs. Asking "Well why even have it in game" is because they still want casuals to do story and get grails. You can farm shops for lores, you don't need to do every challenge mission. Shit, I have 23 lores because I don't usually have the qp/mats to use them all.

Slacking on leveling some of the necessary characters, which screwed up the team composition. Made minor adjustments by dropping a CE here and there and added a unit as a disposable target but that wouldn't last long either. I also wasn't farming for items that needed to raise skills. I didn't have Herk's bond CE for guts memes either. Ibaraki's defense wall can only do so much for 1 turn, and it's not that great 2 turns after. She also lacks a guts skill. This was with a Martha, Ibaraki, Waver, Jack, Amakusa, and Herk. When I switched out Jack and Ibaraki for Tamamo and Uncle Vlad I had far less trouble.

I think it has more to do with the whole 'Servants are copies' thing than anything else. Sieg himself admits the Jeanne in Chaldea isn't the one he knows and the two feel nothing for each other.

Lostbelt 1 introduced the idea that certain events can permanently become part of a Servant's 'record', essentially if something happens to them that's important enough, it gets permanently carved into the throne and any future summonings of that Servant will remember the event clear as day.

An example is with Caster of Black. The reason he can summon Adam Keter Malkuth as his NP in FGO is because he finished creating it in Apocrypha. He even remembers his old Master and regrets killing him, even though Apocrypha is a seperate timeline.

Mordred seems to be another example, since after the Apocrypha event she has a new NP line stating she doesn't care if she becomes king or not, and a voiceline where she says she doesn't need Father's approval anymore.

To be specific, normal servants are summoned post-mortem as a crystallization of belief. It is the "belief of humanity" that creates a heroic spirit (allowing even fictional characters to be heroic spirits) and it is because humanity believes in their deeds that the world allows their deeds. If humanity were to have "certain faith" that there was a being who was "absolutely undefeatable in fair combat", then there would accordingly be an being within the throne that could not be defeated in fair combat. That's exactly my point though, Jack's great at stars, so much it's a non issue. No what Jack is also stellar at is NP loops, something also MHX is no stranger to also. But there's my point. That's two 5 star Quick servants that can NP loop, The only 4 star Quick servant I know that's even capable of coming close is possibly Carmilla.

Meanwhile you have Buster Servants like Tamalancer who are Buster but come close to NP looping, you have Leonidas, a bronze buster servant who can np Loop, The only way Scathatch is able to really generate her np even though she's a Quick servant is by ABB. And I'm not even going to get into the amount of servants that can utilize crit damage by themselves that aren't quick, because the one thing that Quick servants could really shine at, isn't getting that until Skadi.

That really is a big part of it. But it could be understandable; if the idea was they make up their damage from Crit damage. Arts Role is being able to spam NPs, Busters Role is to do big dick damage, Quick's role should be to do both to compensate having the weakest base card damage in the game. The problem is; Quick does neither and needed help doing that. It's why Skadi is so prized and people tout her off as being the Merlin of Quick. She is a massive crutch to supplement most of Quick's problems but she can't fix all of them. Once her buffs come down, Quick is back to being still dead last because Quick needs a lot of help to even be on par with Arts and Buster.

I disagree, insofar as quick has three issues. One if simply being weak (as noted), but the other two are directly fixed by Skadi.

One major issue is the lack of meaningful versatility in the card type; virtually every quick-useful servant is either a bog-standard assassin or a BAAQQ/BBAQQ mutant (archer/saber/etc.) that performs poorly at best. The rest are bulky lancers who often make little or no use of provided stars.

The other major issue is the accessibility of buster buffs (often to very high potency) and their relevance in the card formulas. Attack buffs are readily accessible, and due to the damage formula multiplying individual factors two 50% buffs were far better than a single 100% buff. This lead busters to doing incredible amounts of damage, while arts teams similarly did considerable damage while also benefiting from boosted NP gain. Even in the absence of arts buffs, many arts leaders have strong NP gain buffs or direct charge skills, obliviating the need for arts buffs that feed NP.

Quick teams on the other hand suffer from a bad, bad need for available quick buffs. These buffs nail all three functions; star gen, damage and NP gain. One could certainly argue that the need for quick card buffs to function is a weakness of the type, but that fails to address the reality that arts and buster have had these buffs available since very early on. The image, and function, of quick cards within the game would be exceedingly different if a quick buffing assassin/saber/etc. had existed from an early time.

They're certainly the weakest card type, but their shitty reputation is mostly deserved simply due to a lack of options. Buster and Arts decks have virtually no limits at all, finding bizarre purchase in both units like Sheba (BBAAQ/B) and Vlad (BBAAQ/A) while quick is relegated to a tiny number of limited units. Especially since so many of those servants are early releases and have 2-hit quick cards, what the fuck is that even about?

I feel as if Quick could be fixed by simply tying a base critical modifier to it. So a Quick crit card just naturally hits 3x a non Quick crit card but a Buster and Arts just hits 2x compared to a non-crit Buster or Arts card. This makes it so Quick has a reverse bell curve of damage spread and even though a 2x Buster still hits more than a 3x Quick, the Quick can keep getting those crits more consistently, along with better NP gain.

Protip: Arash is a really good choice for this event, just give him a kaleidoscope or something and he can wipe these trash waves in a snap. He's also got a really short NP animation, so it goes quicker than anyone.

I have to disagree a bit on that front, since most of the good quick servants have built in mitigation anyways. Pretty much all of them have either an invuln or a dodge while many of them have either a personal defense skill (diarmuid) or a decent form of enemy control (MHX's stun). They'll suffer in longer fights since they lack any ridiculously supportive units like Merlin, but he's certainly the exception rather than the rule. I think they work fine as an offensive niche, lacking the sustain of arts teams or the oppressive burst of buster teams, but having a stronger and more consistent output than either.

It improves her support viability considerably. A number of assassins have double buster decks (wu, danzou, cleo) and buster NPs (danzou, cleo, carmilla) so this increases her roster of supportable units considerably. Before this change, there was really no reason to run Osaka with those characters. This list increases considerably if you expand if to non-assassins (a lot of lancers, okita, kintoki rider, bedivere, etc.) so in the end this is more of a synergy thing.

To flip it around more simply, the number of characters who benefit from just a quick card buff is very small. Osaka couldn't fit into many teams effectively because of it.

Osaka especially was very narrow, as in order to use her you needed a fight with an enemy that utilized buffs (for castle ghost to remove), paired with quick characters who benefited from the narrow niche of paper arts by having a high enough hit count to utilize the star generation. If you paired her with those characters she performed quite fine pre-buff, but that's entirely too narrow a function for an SSR unit. So they increased her function laterally rather than simply increasing the numbers on her skills.

If we had a higher list of characters who were BAQQQ/Q then she wouldn't have received this type of buff, but as it stands a lot of players simply don't have the assassin roster necessary to make her useful as a quick-only support.

Osaka's buffs were completely palatable, her issue was it was tied to her NP and unlike any support caster she doesn't have the art cards, nor a meaningful NP charge skill to make her own spammable (this trait is what puts Hans so high on the support list, Merlin has his NP charge passive and Waver is just NP charge out the ass) She rarely gets her NP buffs off anyway so increasing the depth rather than breadth was the wrong move buff wise if you solely wanted to target her NP.

The NP buff isn't a perfect fix, but it was definitely by far her most glaring issue. Carmilla is a good ST Assassin, Liz Lancer is okay until her Charisma gets buffed, Halloween Liz is okay and is only really special because she's (relatively) easy to NP 5. You don't strictly need to level any of them but the support slot can only carry you so far and this event is painfully easy compared to what this year's actual Halloween event is like.

Strictly speaking there are only two ways Halloween Liz becomes summonable again, you either add her to the paid summoning pool or you rerun the event. For the former Japanese gacha laws prevent items you can only obtain in time limited events without monetary cost from being added to a permanent monetary pool. Probably something related to advertising. Calling something an "event exclusive" implies that is limited in supply, and as such is more valuable. Re-releasing that thing without the requirement that an event be ongoing reduces the items value after-the-fact, damaging the investment of the customers who aquired it during the initial limited release. She worked decently with a number of silver assassins and quick units, but a lot of them are overlooked at best and generally ignored in favour of popular SR units that tend to have double buster and/or buster NP decks. Osakabehime gave the bare minimum buffs to assassins like Carmilla, Wu Zetian, Danzo, Cleopatra, et cetera who really got nothing out of her other than a tiny number of stars and NP gen on quicks. Most of the remaining assassin roster prefers (especially when Osaka was released, as solid options like Summer Ushi didn't exist) arts cards.

Branching out into other classes, quick sabers (Okita aside) are rather unpopular. Most quick archers are locked heavily, or simply mediocre. The Chulainns find a decent benefit from her, but not enough to justify her, while virtually every other lancer is BBAQQ with a buster NP. Riders, likewise, trend towards BBAAQ in the SR and up category, with the only real Quick rider (Kintoki) already having a powerful quick stim available.

And, of course, virtually all of these options pack low hit counts–meaning the main benefit of paper arts (50% star gen) barely does anything at all.

It's not that Osaka was impossible to fit into a team, it's just that she's too selective. If you're a whale with half the SSR's in the game she was fine in select scenarios, but only in those select scenarios. Adding the buster buff gives her viable synergy with most lancers, riders, assassins and a number of archers. Its been highlighted in other posts that the biggest issue with quick-meta is the weak list of options, which has been subverted in this case by turning her into a hybrid.

Remember, a support is only as useful as the units they support. Osaka had virtually no units to support. Now she has lots.

Okay, you're guaranteed to get Cu Caster who also has an NP charge skill, a heal, and a dodge for survivability. Has 800 base attack over Babbage, and eventually gets a 20% buster up linked to his NP for even better damage. He also has far better NP gen. NP charge is king of farming since, as you've pointed out, not everyone can get Kaleido or other NP charge CEs.

As someone who used to spam "lol just bring Berserkers and support waver" London was a shit show often times because one good crit with even Wavers Defense and the Berserker is gone. This is why Counterclassing is often better and why having multiple counterclasses for farming is also a valuable asset. Not to mention this is everyday farming and not even getting into events like Setsubun where you get no support classes and a fatigue system.

If you are looking for is a caster to clear waves Babbage is actually one of the best options. Between an NP interlude, a 40% attack buff, a 25% NP buff, and a buster NP for Merlin compatibility he is the hardest hitting AOE silver caster. Just give him a starting NP CE and he is good to go. Para's team manaburst is only 20% so he hits like a wet noodle and caster Cu is story locked so he is hard to NP 5. The welfare caster Liz or Kiyohime are better overall choices than all of them though

I've used Waver by himself before to farm Casters. It goes alright but it's miserably long. From said Bad RNG where said mannequins would do evades and then target one critting both times and then killing a berserker buffed with Waver. It sucks when it happens and honestly it made me stop riding Berserker cock long enough to really make me realize Counterclassing at the end of the day is king and again, you take what you get. Assuming you have a team of Cu caster, and Support waver, You could do Hans as a third, but that's also miserably long too, when you could just be 4-5 turning it instead it drags out to 6-7 turns at least. I don't even think Shakespeare got his strengthening yet so you could run his Buster buff and hope for the best.

Look, all I'm saying is you work with what you got and that it's always a good idea to have multiple options. If not for efficiency then for events. I'm saying what Geronimo has as a selling point is he's a pretty good farmer. Of course there's better. There's a lot better, and there's always going to be better.
