To add a bit of precision to what you said, there are those who emulate the trends their parents had set a big deal, but you also have a bunch of fanatical rebels who want to reject everything that came before without discrimination. And yet you have a few schmucks like me who started thinking at some point, seeing that the current trend is only going to lead us to ruin.

There's meaningful separation between generations, based on historical events they experienced, political events and when they experienced them, education etc. These things do matter and it does color their world view effectively based on when they grew up. I work at a retro game store and I'm pretty happy to see that a ton of younger gamers, people aged 8-12 at least are seriously into the classics, it's really nice to see. There's a few teenagers into it but there's a wave of people who are seriously interested in these classics. However they discovered them, be it youtubers or older siblings, it's nice to see they approach them with reverence. I genuinely talk with my mom about white displacement, and while she's not on board entirely she's open to hearing it. She's a boomer but she's not a lost cause. I just think there's certain things different generations won't be able to comprehend, but that's not a bad thing.
