Some games won't install or run properly in my experience like Jet Set Radio, Darkness 2 but I had success with Speebot where the fuck is that linux port and Serious Sam 2, but I think it loaded all textures, shaders, bumpmaps weirdly during one of the game's rendering test but the game looked fine.

I did a while back, when it was in closed beta or something. For one my toaster couldn't run it well(I blame the launcher it was bundled with) and I didn't particularly like it. Also FPSs just don't feel the same anyone. Digimon World 3?

I've been tinkering around with the idea of a turn-based game that plays out on a timeline. The game logic is turn-based but actions are played in real time via timeline based on initiative, priority, lag factors (i.e. distance between melee attacker and target, casting time, etc.), and other things. The hook with this system is that if your character hasn't acted that round they could use a reaction to change their command that turn at the expense of lag.

Because I'm adding an interruption to this system can it still be considered turn-based?

Does Rayman Legends on the PC have those lame Muffy touch screen levels? Also is it safe to install Uplay and never use it?

Pretty sure a pirated version would work without uplay. Otherwise, uplay is annoying by its very existence but it's even more discreet than steam, it doesn't even have a store in the client to annoy you with. It shouldn't exist, but if you really want to play a game it's not that much of an obstacle.

Also the Murphy levels are still there, but instead of touchscreen they work as contextual input. You get close to an obstacle, murphy flies to it automatically, you press a button and that's enough to interact. It works pretty well.

Anti-cheat programs tend to be very invasive, it's the nature of what they do. In the same way that anti-virus has to hook in deep enough to spot and combat potential malware, so do anti-cheats need to have awareness large enough to spot some types of cheats. Some of the tactics include scanning other running processes and your disk, ostensibly for certain executables. I don't know if BattleEye does this for sure but I'd imagine it does, and if it's really bad it logs some of that info and/or phones it home.

I don't play much MMORPGs, but I can say for a few things about vanilla WoW economy on a fresh server.

Each class has different tiers of armor going from cloth to plate. Cloth is cheapest to repair; plate is more expensive. The repair bill is the reoccuring expense of the game. This basically means cloth armor classes could farm monsters for better profit, meanwhile for plate armor classes, farming barely broke even. Player circulated gold came from quests and selling vendor trash / monster drops to NPCs. It effectively exits the player economy when players buy from NPCs (food, water, repairs, new spells).

5 player dungeon parties are consist of 3 DPS, 1 Healer, 1 Tank, and players pick classes to fill those roles. Healers, having weak offense, and Tanks, generally high repair costs and slow rate of killing, often hardly make a profit while invidually grinding. DPS more or less could cost effectively do so. The player economy in a way that 60% of the player population are able to profitably and time efficiently introduce gold or raw goods such as leather or cloth into the economy.

The circulating amount of gold in-game generally increases.

No. MMOs lack the expenses/"items" daily life has, even if they did servers lack the ability to host the number of players needed to test run "actual" economies. If you somehow find a way to fix both of those issues another comes up; player whim.

In real life people have to work with the hand they're dealt, good or bad, within whatever economy they happen to be a part of. In a MMO players can walk away at any time if they happen to be frustrated by failure or bored from success.

Late reply, but from what I remember at the time it was viewed as alright but got much better reception over time due to being the last "good" game made by Bioware. Back when it was released it had some controversy with day 1 DLC that hurt its reputation, so that also tied into some of the criticism. As for choices, they matter to the extent of interactions with characters and what you do in specific zones, with the main plot progressing the same way. So you'll always reach the arch demon and follow through the same events, but your decisions in the dwarf city or elf camp will greatly affect that zone. The number of choices you have can vary; sometimes you'll only have two, other times more. Origins you pick at character creation can also affect your time in particular parts of the game but that can also vary greatly (Dwarf noble is objectively the best origin in the game, wood elf the worst). Certain choices can also greatly affect how your party members feel about you, with the most prominent being a couple of them trying to kill you for using dark magic. This is based off of what I remember from playing the game back in 2009-10, so someone can feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
