Let's get a C:DDA thread going

What's the current state of the game?

Is that manchild of a guy (main developer, I think Kevin or something?) still sperging out about features?

I'm stuck on the last Bright Nights release by Coolthulhu. I figured I'd continue the development of his edition if enough people wanted it, taking it in a less furry porn direction focusing on "semi-realistic sci-fi horror" over shitty mutations and whatnot.

Coolthu was too scared to add armor and weapons after rivett decided to shit up the game with xirs cancer. But I wish he added some robots, monsters, ayylmaos and items instead of mutations no one makes legitimately.

It was already an insane amount of work to undo the crap they introduced. I haven't touched the code so far because I can foresee a borderline rewrite of some of the game, not just removing the garbage and adding some cool items

Are killdozers viable yet?

Some years ago, they almost worked if you were riding at just the right speed. A little too fast and you'd trash the ride along with whatever you were driving into, a little too slow and nothing happens.

At that time, you were better off with a skinny souped-up supercycle and blasting holes into obstacles with a grenade launcher moments before crashing.
