I don't have much experience in racing games, I remember playing Grand Turismo 3 back on the PS2 and the Cruisin' games at the arcades I used to go to. But what I do have experience in is going breakneck speeds, barreling down city streets, and hitting good drifts to turn corners.
That feeling of speed is what I felt when I played Burnout: Paradise and I was zooming through Paradise City listening to Eurobeat mixes and trying to beat my best times and scores. Nothing beats going as fast as large hadron collider against with the possibility of one bad turn turning your car into dented scrap metal.
I know it isn't the best game but it was the first one because it was free with Gold. I want more of that experience. I know that the Need For Speed series is good start, but where should one start? Any good stories to share from your racing experiences? Any other games that should be noted besides the big names? Is there any hope for the racing/ arcade racing genre (besides Forza)?
