No, it's made by a completely different company with bug testers from both. Bethesda's level design apart from Oblivion's repetitiveness is actually great. I actually find Skyrim's and Fallout 4's "linear" dungeons to be fun and not very linear. I think it's unrealistic to make every dungeon too big and "maze-y".

Orchestral bullshit is gone replaced by synth, electronica and drum and bass, and gimmicky new weapons are gone.
They do constant streams where they play the original System Shock and build the levels of the Remake while doing so.
It's really neat stuff and they seem to be pulling it off.
They seem to have done a complete 180 so I'm optimistic.

DMC is still fine, CP became shit when we saw the gameplay, which is shit. DMC gameplay from what we have seen looks like an improvement on 4 which is good. Yeah some characters are ugly, don't care.

It's aesthetically too dark and different like BioShock, the original was bright and lively because every texture was hand made to reflect light, meaning there weren't exactly too many places shrouded completely in dark aside from Level 3,6, and part of 2. Even places like Level 9 which by all means shouldn't did. This one looks like there are only a few lights anywhere thanks to Unreal's engine, giving a clear uncanny valley distinction, not to mention how the whole thing looks way more metallic thanks to Bioshock employee's being involved.
Pretty much on par with the Dark Souls remake in the way it fucks up crucial elements.

It's true DaSR is a pile of indefensible dog shit and I never scratched something off my list so quickly but it could very well be Namco's doing, trying to make a easy shekel. Not saying From are saints but Namco is definitely King Kike.
I like the idea of Sekiro being more straightforward but there are some things that bug me though I think they might be addressed further down the line. Right off the bat is the lack of JP voice work and then there's the posture/guard stance mechanic that seems to be the crux of combat - basically you're supposed to tire out opponents (and avoid that yourself) but the bar recovers by itself which makes me wonder how handling multiple high tier enemies will work. It''s also a bit on the ugly side, I don't want waifus or any of that shit but at least put up some stylish armors and stuff, everything so far looks really grimy.
Again with Nioh 2, besides not wanting to support those assholes as they are, I hope this sequel isn't another goddamned historic reenactment piece. I thought I was gonna fight youkai, not get a tour of the second half of the Sengoku Jidai.
Anyway, TGS is in a couple of weeks. I wonder if we'll get something new there? SNK is announcing a new FG in a few days (the 10th) and a guy from Sega's RGG studio also says they got "something truly different" to announce. Meanwhile, line ups are popping up. As has been for a while, I'm mostly interested in Sega, Atlus and Vanillaware. We'll see.

I am really hopeful for Desperados 3 because Shadow Tactics was great, I'm looking forward to whatever Piranha Bytes are making since they did good with Elex and they will probably announce a new game next year and I hope Greedfall will be enjoyable. That's just about it. Maybe Biomutant will be worthwhile, and I like Remedy so I hope that Control will be good although they are really pushing graphics above all so I probably can't even run it.

I probably have something like 400 hours into the series as a whole, with the majority of it put into 3.
My personal rating would be 3>1>2.
The mechanics got more fleshed out in 2 and 3, but the downside is that the maps became smaller (which ironically works in the games' favour).
Some new classes which you may or may not like were added. Personally, I don't enjoy using them, but the good news is that the games don't force your hand in 99% of cases.
The stories in 2 and 3 are hit and miss, but they do get some good parts.
All of them carry a relevant piece of the whole puzzle, so if you want to enjoy 4 to the fullest I recommend playing all of them.
