However Lufia used rapiers, daggers, and bucklers and had a really good DEX stat. So I imagine Lufia other hobbies did include fencing with the hero from childhood. Mountains have been moved for women, who no longer have to try in most of western society. Not really. If they do actually try, unless they're older, people think they may've had it handed to them thanks to this bullshit, undermining them even though they may have not even participated in any of those "woman only scholarships", or job openings…

Mine was a single parent who tried to raise two boys unemployed on welfare living below the poverty line. To call it a struggle was an understatement. She did her best and I do respect what she did but there were times where she was overly harsh and didn't provide context to punishment or was rather loose on what I did, early access to porn for example. She didn't feel like a 'parent'. I recognize her as my progenitor but I have long run out of sympathy when she can't even get her own life in order.
The strictness, rules and guidelines that a father should provide wasn't there, hence the house I grew up in descended into squalor.
At this point, there's just too much history and I want it buried and have nothing more to do with her but she's currently living with me much to my chagrin as the old house gets sold. Heh, if there is a heaven at least they can't accuse me of being unfaithfulto family. Filial piety and all that.
So that's my sad story. Only good points are she dragged me to the local mormon church when that started up and while I got bored because it wasn't really my thing, it did instill the values of 'be a good person'. But at least I can be myself now.
