Anon at that point just use Chloe with a MLB Kaleid Sapphire, makes the fight a helluva lot easier, and then either use Supp rider Mordred with the CE or a supp Medb because even though Testament is a grill and it's buster She does a lot of damage still as a ST Rider NP with a Ruby CE and her Bonus. You can also use Santa Alter or Ushi/Kintoki if you really are lacking Options because even though Santa Alter's Buster, she's still a rider with a lot of damage that benefits from the CE and even though also Ushi or Kintoki gets no benefits at all from quick (And in Kintoki's case being male) they also do fuck tons of damage.
tl;dr just throw all riders at them, both fights with the exception of a stray assassin in the last one are kinda set up for that in mind anyway

Just in case anyone was interested in rolling on these for gameplay purposes, I took the liberty of computing the average meta-tier of the servants in each banner, weighed by rarity. I also checked against their current JP tiers, but that didn't really end up changing anything.
Good banners: Archer, Assassin, Caster
Average banners: Berserker, Saber
Bad banners: Lancer, Rider
As for me, I'll probably skip spend one ticket on all the preceding ones and then roll on Assassin day until I get at least an SR. Depending on how that goes, maybe I'll try for a Caster and/or Berserker as well.

That's exactly the case I was calculating for. I feel like broad banners only make sense to spend a low amount on to round out your roster if you've managed not to get (m)any of the possible hits. It's also worth noting that you can't get spooked by other classes, so they're actually a good bit narrower than they look in this case.
Anyway, do you have any math suggesting your banner picks make more sense, or is just looking at the best servants you could pull? Assuming you didn't miss the part where I said it was a weighted average, maybe post which tier you think each of the servants in those classes is in so we can figure out the discrepancy? I certainly can't claim that whichever random fansites I pulled data from have any kind of way to tell how objectively good a servant is.

I looked at how desirable the servants on the banner were vs how many suck ass. The 5*s and most of the 4*s on the saber banner suck. The 5*s and half of the 4*s on the rider banner are decent to great. On the archer banner Orion and Tesla are the only really good pulls and neither is top in their class. Emiya is okish too but only as an investment for once he gets his strengthening. On the other hand the serker banner is great, all of the 5*s are excellent and with the sole exception of Beowulf all the the 4*s are very useful. AOE berserkers are amazing for farming. Ibaraki and Herc are both superb berserkers in general.

The way it works when there's multiple 5* and 4* on the banner is they divide the .7% and 2.1% between all of them on that banner. For example, let's say we use the Saber, if you don't like Altera, but do like Mordred and Artoria, you would have only .467% chance of getting the servant you want for 5*. For 4* it's worse. There are 7 4* servants on the Saber banner. That's .3% for any individual given one. If you want say, Nero, your chances of getting her are less than if you wanted a 5* on a normal banner.
The reason that 3* are treated different is because the rate up for them is always a flat 4%, no matter how many there are. So, any given 3* on rate up banner, whether it be on class specific or a normal one, actually gives you the same chance of getting that specific 3*. I actually fucked this up, the 4% for every 3* only applies on normal banners, on class specific it increases it higher than that unless there are more than 9 3* on a given banner. Once Salirei was introduced, Extra had it's own banner with just Salirei as the possible 3*. That is a 40% chance of getting the 3* Salirei 10 times the normal going rate for a rate up 3*.

It's incredibly unlikely and only has happened twice technically. The introduction of the "no star" Angra and the event limited 1* Paul Bunyun. If you're interested in servants that aren't gold then Silver's are the best middle ground as they keep adding those and they're relatively interesting with their move sets. Being the most gimmicky with examples such as Jekyll and Avicebron wanting to die with his third skill. They're relatively easier to NP 5 as well.
Even if they were to add more 2* and lower they're stats are usually bad enough to make it incredibly difficult to integrate into team comps unless they're Hans or Leonidas.

The SEAniggers can still benefit, too, you know. With the lower quartz count and shorter banner time, whales would be more desperate and thus more willing to drop (more) money on the game than they would be if they had more time to collect quartz. It benefits us so that we experience things at the same time as JP so as to allow us to join in with them and express intrigue over the same things at the same time, rather than being forced to get their scraps from fun long since had.
It will also make sure that we don't miss out on anything once we get caught up. Think about it. If, for instance, the game's final update would be some new singularity, NA players couldn't experience that singularity unless they - for some reason - decided to hold out for two years DESPITE knowing that the game would be dead after that singularity was released. You just know that 90% of the players (whales included!) would ditch the game before they even get caught up to just one year behind.
tl;dr We can only benefit from a caught-up server. Faggots complaining about needing more time to grind are not looking at the bigger picture.

Astolfo's skill set is worse if you're only looking at his stun and his attack up compared to Medusa, but he still has the 4* stat bonus and Independent Action which is fucking great due to his innate star weight. Going further after his third skill gets Strengthened it definitely puts him into an entirely different slot from Medusa. While Medusa wants to NP spam, Astolfo just tries to generate stars and crit as hard as his feeble arms can. Going further I'd say Astolfo's NP side effects are much better, as a three time evade is nice and comparatively Medusa lacks any survival for herself. (Unless you count her latest NP upgrade in JP giving her crit reduction being a survival tool I guess?) and the overcharge effect of giving a lot of stars is also nice. It feels like whoever designed Astolfo split him in half between being the one you want the crit stars to collect on and being the one you want generating the stars for your other guys, but his and Medusa's third skills due to solidly divide them between two different roles.

Depends on what servant you're using, but the best strategy is to use an AoE NP servant to get Cu and Scath's HP very low. With good RNG, they won't activate evasion, and even if they do, just use Rule Breaker or Jack's second skill or whoever else has a buff removing ability and then kill either of them. The remaining one will soon follow provided they have low enough HP. If they cast evade just dedicate that turn to removing it with normal attacks.

I thought I would beat it just fine because I brought Riakou and Altera along but the enemy AI is built to attack the least resistant targets until they die after the initial NP Seal. After Raikou was instantly annihilated, I just finished with Altera and Caesar NP when the NP seal wore off and they both died.

Holy fuck this fight was goddamn hard. Not having a lot of good AOE options drastically hurt my team. Siegfried without his Dragon Slayer buffs hits like a fucking wet noodle, I need his buffs yesterday to dragon meme my way to victory.
This fight also reminded me of just how useful Rider Martha truly is, team-wide heal and debuff removal is goddamn great for this node, and removing evades and providing a DEF debuff on top of that is amazing. Sadly she got Gay Bulge'd very early, rip saint. In the end, Bedi and Herc held the line. Beheading Bunny is the true MVP, Cu would have fucking destroyed me in the last turn were it not for Invul Pierce.
Thankfully, given my servant roster, this seems like the hardest fight I could struggle with in the whole umufest, the rest of the fights should be easier. Gil and Siegfried could be troublesome, but I think I can manage.

The Hassans proc death due to a buff they make as soon as they enter the screen, but thankfully those are removable. You've got to make sure to remove the buff before killing them or else your party will get fucked up. Medea's really, really good at this due to Rule Breaker removing buffs and not hitting hard enough to kill the hassans. She's also got a somewhat decent self-heal and targetable debuff heal as long as you do her rank-up quest. Just keep Medea alive, bring a hard hitter and if possible a non-rider healer, and everything should go decently.
Siegfried can be cheesed with Angry Man Jew provided you can give him guts and make the enemy focus on him during his NP; Iri and Kerry are brety gud at this, but you lack those. Redman should also help out quite a lot due to UBW doing DEF-ignoring damage on top of being an archer.
Gil should be very cheesable with a solo support MLB CE Scáthach; God Slayer tears Gil to shreds even without her NP and her NP should charge easily with Gil doing lodsahits per attack. She's also got evade which will help her survive a bit longer.
At this point, just focus on clearing whatever you can clear. These quests should be hard even for people with many servants available. The only thing you'd be missing by not clearing some of them are a handful of mats and a few tickets.

Cu (The one from F/SN) is tanky as fuck because he gets Guts, a minor heal+debuff clear, and an excellent evade skill which all makes him extremely hard to kill, but he has low damage output. Cu (Prototype) has the same evade skill as the other Cu and has a decent niche for killing Beast trait enemies like Chimeras, which are somewhat common, and he'll also get a rank up soon that makes him better able to act as a critical damage dealer; but his attack is slightly lower than F/SN Cu, so if you can't get him to crit, and aren't fighting a Beast trait enemy, his damage output will be even worse than F/SN Cu's. Euryale is great for anti-male, especially male Sabers. Medea spams Rule Breaker to clear enemy buffs. Lu Bu hits extremely hard for a 3 star, and at NP5 his NP will hit harder than almost any NP1 5 star, but he's frail. Georgios and Leonidas are both fairly bulky for such low rarity servants because of defense buffs and guts and have taunts. Hans is an excellent support but extremely frail. Fuuma has a targeted evade and great star gen, and Cursed Arm has great star gen too.

Robin dose disgusting levels of damage at NP5 as long as the enemy poisoned(which he can apply himself) and really goes insane with arts support. He also has great NP gain with golden rule.
Ushi NP after her interlude dose excellent ST damage despite being quick based and tengu strategy a really solid skill basically giving everyone on the front line golden rule.
Caesar is easily the best low rarity saber except maybe Bedivere but outside the free copy you get after Camelot getting him a pain in the ass. Ceaser has a decent support skill set and a decent ST noble phantasm. Honestly only recommending him cause you don't have many options for good sabres early on unless you luck out on Lancelot or Rama early on.

You need either Emiya, Kintoki Berserker or Lu Bu as not only will they do they counter class but their NPs Ignore Defense so stacking a bunch of attack boosts on either of them and have them hit with their NP will do the trick. After that, if you still need more assistance you could use Martha, Shuten, Waver's NP, Elizabeth Lancer, or any others that do Defense down. Okita probably could work here actually as not only her NP goes through defense but she also causes a Defense down and has her own attack steroid.

Next turn I got another brave chain which knocked off all but 50k of his HP, a random Scathach card on the third turn killed him. Barely managed to clear it. Party was Vlad/half leveled Martha/Support Cu Alter/Waver/Mash/bond Herc. Vlad nearly cost me the run when he got a lucky crit on Medea early and almost killed her. Cu murderraped his way though the rest of the enemies only falling after Nero did. Herc played cleanup with Medea. Everyone else was just sort of there, Martha to clear the debuffs and die, Waver to feed meter and die, and Mash to toss out an invun, taunt and die.
Overall a pretty fun fight.

I just beat it using Tamamo Cat, Fran (both with Kaleidoscope), support Cu Alter with maxed event CE, Mash with maxed Halloween arrangement, Shiki with max event CE and D'Eon with a generic def up CE.
Use the Atlus Institute mystic code to remove the debuff from Cu first turn, then use it to keep him alive while you take out Jack, Amakusa, and Titoria Alter in that order. Your first two slots can just be anything with AOE NPs that you just fire and forget.
At this point you should be left with Nero, Medea and Ozy. Use Cu to whittle Nero down, making sure that you don't kill the other two. Once you've got her down Ozy's def buffs should have worn off, so go ahead and stomp him with Shiki and clean up Medea for the finish.

Still, Emiya pulled through like a champ.
Recommend Jack to dismantle Ozy; debuff works like a charm. Heracles with Bond CE is a god, Medea Lily is a goddess with her debuff remove. Still, recommend keeping the frontline clear of any "skill-users" so that Jack's debuff that affects self-buffs, won't be too hampered. Heracles was pretty good for this reason alone. Oh, and kill Medea only after you've handled most of the other Servants and Nero's guts, because her death buff if a HUGE def boost.
Honestly, this fight was a pain but victory was pretty fucking sweet.

You are right that a lot of content even in the main story is going to feature fights like these though, especially the Epic of Remnant sub-singularities. This does eventually become the norm for boss fights and thus isn't really subverting game mechanics any worse than say, boss fights in any normal RPG doing weird boss fight only things like switching weaknesses mid fight.

You're contradicting yourself here. First you say there are a lot of cleanse options, then you say whales would have an easy time of it despite having soooo many cleanse options in game? Being forced to build around a challenge is the better option rather than telling the player that their 17 servants that would be useful in this case are now not worth bringing. In fact, I don't believe that even if the buffs/debuffs were removable that you would be able to clear them all AND enough to beat down the enemy team.
I've played FF and SMT. Typically the bosses there will punish a player for playing a certain way, like Mem Aleph punishing you for bringing demons of all the same alignment while the whole game encourages this. Anon they're dozens of other examples of using "mechanics built-in since day one" in games to cheese bosses. Go ahead and look up a video of Reaper fight Odin strat for something that makes the fight a joke. Everything is working correctly, no programming errors here, all in game mechanics are working, but is cheesing. For an even better example look at Reaper Despair insta-kill from Persona 5 where you can kill the second hardest boss in the game in less than 3 turns. Again, everything working correctly, all mechanics "since day one" present, still the definition of cheesing. This is what it means to "cheese" a fight even with everything in game working correctly.

They would have an easy time of it if they could spam SQ like you would want. The cleanse options are there, you do have a friend's list, you can until Setsubun use that friend's list at anytime to go for servants you may not have but are ideal for the quest. The game is built with the understanding that you will statistically most likely have access to every servant in the game via support, going even further plenty of player's will intentional put servants that are good for the challenge quests to rake in FP.

There are plenty of quests that have a mix of non removable and removable buffs. Hell, the last Nero fight you are bitching about does as well.

Yeah and it's the dev's fault for not taking that into account or building a fight around the idea that the player might be doing this. The player shouldn't have the ability to do a thing removed from them. The dev should punish the player for attempting to do it.

My point is that if the buffs/debuffs were removable and you tried to clear them all, you probably wouldn't be able to beat it that way. Since that is the case, there's no reason to not make them removable at all.

I can't understand how you are reading my points and not getting what I'm saying. It doesn't NEED to be an auto-win. The devs could have done something to punish a player for using it, or nerf it with some kind of debuff or something, instead they choose the lazy path and removed the option entirely.

We're telling you that the nature of having the x3 method to revive is an autowin because it revives your entire team. There is nothing in the game that gives you a straight up revive let alone the whole team. You have grantable guts but that often is a bandaid to prevent a death than a straight up revive and not only that, it gives everyone a free np charge. Even if in this challenge quest it applied a debuff to get rid of the charge straight up wanting a full team party revive in a challenge quest at any moment you wipe is still an autowin button. It's a crutch. An oopsie daisy button because I guarantee you the only reason why you're bitching that you don't have access to that is because you only had Nero, Medea and or Ozy left and you're telling yourself that if you had that you know you could've won when surprise; that's the only part of the run that's legitimately challenging. Asking for a full team revive when it doesn't even get hard until Ozy comes out is asking for your win to be handed to you. That ain't legit. That's cheesy.
