I understand Ross' problem with seeing games die, but not when they're online-only multiplayer from the outset, that shit is obviously tied with playerbase and is fated to die one day no matter how freely it is distributed. The problem lies in SP games, that should on all accounts be able to be saved and redistributed, but can't because of a company's arbitrary choice to tie it to a server.

More importantly, I'm glad the mold didn't get him yet.

IIRC in the video Ross talks about dedicated servers for multiplayer games too, so you can still set up games yourself with friends even if the playerbase is dead. Only matchmaking is just retarded
