Re-evaluating my list and looking at some other polls (DLC & pre-game)

these two could have actually been on their radar in 2015 so far as fan satisfaction goes.
The rest?
not at all.
No one wanted or was asking for those characters at all in the polls. It doesn't matter if you want them or think they're cool or a good choice, if they are working off of general fan consensus you're outnumbered immeasurably.
That's what I mean by wish fulfillment: characters who are only on autiste radars, where they look at Karate Joe and go "logical choice" because Karate Joe could be neat.
I'm not saying anything about any individual character's inclusion, even, but to throw them all on there at once, along with Lip who no one cares about and Rex who wasn't on anyone's radar at the time and still isn't, was pushing the boundaries of suspension of disbelief way too far.
A more believable pattern would have been something like:
>Bandanna dee
this will annoy people and satisfy others, not be generally lauded
>Isaac
long-running request but seemed improbable, weighted down by bandanna
>Banjo and Kazooie
another highly requested third party in a game that now has more third party characters pound for pound
>Paper Mario
obvious choice and satisfies "lol another mario" bias
>Dante
out of left field autiste pick that no one would expect fulfilling the "no one expected it" Bayonetta bias
there, you could have you cake and eat it too.
As it is? Wish fulfillment.
