MMOs are arguably shit but some of them have nice looking worlds. Is there a way to convert them into single player games by running a private server locally or something?

tried doing that with vanilla wow and bots in my own server, but the bots were way too brainless

your only real option is to just give your character boosted stats depending on where he's in

If the devs let you have the server software you run a server on your own machine. Otherwise not really anything you can do.

yfw every time you played a mmo you just kept fallowing the quests you where given. and wondered why the fuck you bothered playing with people if the only interaction was watching other pc's jump around like spastic kangaroos from quest marker to quest marker. i think i made it to level 23- 25 in tor without so much as looking at the chat
