And playing Xenoblade 2 more Rex would have an interesting moveset. However Rex would be more like two characters in one. Pyra and Mythra would trade attack and defense stats. Not faithful to the game but is Smash Bros. Pyra would make Rex heavier and slower with more power based attacks that sometimes drop HP potions. Mythra would give Rex faster attacks, wider area control specials, and speed but make him lighter and take more damage. Also if you attack Pyra/Mythra directly then Rex takes damage too. If you KO Pyra/Mythra then Rex is killed. Many of their attacks combine Rex using standard A attacks and trading off Aegis to Pyra/Mythra with B attacks. And if Rex is too far away from Pyra/Mythra he won't be able to do special attacks nor shield.

Rex and Pyra will be an assist trophy instead. I know this is too complicated for Mashpotato Samurai to care.

I'm still hoping for Isaac, Jill, and Ray. The removed ATs in 4 were Barbara, Excitebikes, Gray Fox, Helirin, Issac, Jill, Mr. Resetti and Ray. Gray Fox was because his property wasn't in, and Mr. Resetti became a stage element. Excitebike and Barbara were still in the game as trophies. I have to suspect the remaining three were considered for 4 and cut entirely so they could possibly be DLC (No idea what happened to Helirin though).

he can run up to you and do a 50/50 between grab and upsmash where if you fuck up you either lose stage control or die

Bowser got a lot of buffs though, Up-B now has a ender in the air which means it could be used to ladder combo + its now safe to hit people with in general.

Up-Throw got a damage buff and the actual up-throw up-air still works at lower percents(its only lost its function as a kill option). His side-B is now on par with some of the quickest grabs in the game and his normal throw now seems quick enough to be an easy out of shield option.

His inherent armor now can go through decently strong things(its been shown to go through mewtwos up-smash and he managed to walk through mewtwos multi-jab) and no longer has a drop-off(allegedly at least, someone said they saw bowser walk through foxes multi-jab at 110%);

for reference this armor used to only be able to go through stuff like Megamans pellets and luigi's fireballs.

Also the non-flinching hitbox of his fire-breath is gone.

There's a misconception that axes have to be these heavy one-hit kill inaccurate weapons when actual war axes are well balanced and versatile. When I request a character I want to play I know the character's basic moves, playstyle, and rough meta. I'm not a tourney fag so I have no intention of creating the perfect "broken" character. I wanted an axe man for Fire Emblem for a long time. While I don't have an idea who Edelgard's is I do have enough of an idea based on the trailer that she uses an axe and commands army formations.

I wanted to make this style for Hector, but lady in charge of FE a Westaboo feminist cunt.

Standard B and Up B specials are a mystery until we know more about her character. Side B is the handaxe throw where she can throw a handaxe if her main axe isn't throwable. Down B counter will do something different. Edelgard could use the handle of the axe to stun the enemy (they'd be stunned like deku nuts or broken shield). Then you can follow up with a heavy smash attack, which are the slowest but most powerful attacks in the moveset.

Also, as an axe the head of the axe deals damage. So there's a distance game similar to Marth. However we can simplify the control scheme to where the further you tilt your stick the further the axe head travels from your body, which also means more opening lag. You will be doing lots of tilt attacks as opposed to smashing your stick everywhere if you don't want to be left open. Also short hopping is your friend. Tilt attack on ground and short hops are the backbone of axing in Smash.

Every game that is represented in Ultimate, with the exception of Shovel Knight, which is already a heavily NES-inspired game, and Rayman, are all Japanese in origin. I would just like to see something Western that has been just as influential be featured in the game, and there is nothing better than a FPS protagonist to do this, even one that's made in the East because FPS games are inherently Western. I get the feeling that they included the Moon as an assist to match alongside Skull Kid. In the same direct they announced K.Rool, they also showcased Klaptrap as an assist trophy.

Besides, sure there are bosses in Smash, but consider that Skull Kid essentially was the villain (well, Majora's Mask was, but you get the point). In some Subspace-Emissary mode, Skull Kid would be alongside the villains, Ridley, K.Rool, etc. And in the typical Classic Mode, Skull Kid would most likely face off against Young Link, or maybe all three Links, and vice versa. It is a shame that the Moon is not his final smash, but perhaps they could not think of a more interesting assist trophy concept from Majora's Mash.
