No. Some franchises with a clear story focus like metal gear I can get why one would care about continuity. Rayman is a surrealist franchise about a silly-ass character traversing silly-ass environments with silly-ass enemies. Story has never been anything but a very vague framework. There is no sane reason to even see a continuity here, let alone care about it.

This is the same shit that led to the "zelda timeline".

It was awful and extremely boring. Rayman has a New Hampshire accent and his friends are bootleg Rayman 2 characters. They escape a circus ran by some dude with a big chin and Razorbeard and have to avoid a detective

It got cancelled after 4 episodes
