Boy, I sure do love me some Trauma Center. Especially the first games in the series, Life and Death, which came out on PC in the 80's.

It's an easy tool to convey motion and potentially emotion. It might be common in anime but it's body language. I'm sure if you focused on other convenient movement you'd find it in many animes.

There's rarely a body language that's unique to one studio like the Shaft head tilt.

There are the dark cut flash games that are a copy of the trauma center games.

1 is settled on the middle ages, 2 is in the war, and 3 is in modern times. Though there is some shit that just seems flat out ridiculous, can't remember very well

Bully for the wii also had the dissection minigame but as >>15304704 said, these games aren't exactly complex enough to get called "games"

in the case of the trauma center covers I would guess it is the first one, it's a mannerism somewhat similar to the the detective point, carrying the same commanding aura without the accusatory nature of pointing
