Dominions is one of my favorite game series for this reason. The actual gameplay takes a fair amount of autism because it's a grand strategy game with rudimentary graphics, but the devs are anthropologists who love turning historical (and occasionally non historical) cultural themes and mythologies into playable nations.
My favorite was the Israel nation they added for the newest entry. It's a race of cannibalistic hill giants that rule over a slave class with a terrifying iron fist.

Barely any games are accurate. Play a military simulator if you want accuracy. No one complain about Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory for their inaccurate movement for a WW2 soldier. I can tell you right now I never see a dude jump and move like you could in that game. Or how about games where you can take more than 2-3 shots? Your ass will be on the ground if you took 2-3 shots in the chest. Even with armor on. The main issues with BFV is the fact it looks like it will play similar to BF1, which was an absolute step back in the franchise. Even Hardline is better than BF1.
