I have played all of those games, just not when I should have. Also Um Jammer Lammy > PaRappa.

I thought parappa the rapper was popular. There was a demo disc that had it on it that a bunch of people I knew had and I had normalfag friends with the actual game. Also I emulated Super Mario RPG as a little kid and Earthbound and bought the cartridges soon after because I still had a SNES.

I mean, there's a difference between not being top 40 yet still reaching 200,000 sales, or whatever the minimum print size was to qualify for Player's Choice prints at the time, and something like Baten Kaitos Origins which didn't even have much of a chance here due to being such a late Gamecube game before the Wii hit (and not having brand recognition power like Twilight Princess did, which still sold much better in mirrored, waggle format on the Wii than the Gamecube).

Yes, the highest estimates give it 250k in US and Europe, and 100k in Japan. Once again, higest estimates. Doesn't excuse being outsold 3:1 by blatant shovelware, spinoffs like Mario Golf and entirely new franchises like Pikmin. I bought Fire Emblem and Super Mario RPG when they were new, though. I also played PaRappa when it was new via rental.

I played 2 out of 4 of those. I guess it's only fate.

Everyone I knew loved Fire Emblem when it came out, and they all got into it due to Roy and Marth in Melee. I can't stand the new Awakening-babby fanbase.

Quake III at it's peak never managed to sell a million copies worldwide. Yet apparently everyone and their grandmother was a super pro CPMA master. It's why every attempt to bring back Arena FPS has failed miserably, the fanbase for this game is incredibly small and the people within the fanbase who actually play the game instead of lying about playing it for brownie points is even smaller.
