Nyx is kind of shit. Her whole gimmick is psychic powers. Her first ability allows you to turn a single enemy into a thrall for a limited time. I forget what the second ability does, but the third allows you to make X number of enemies in the nearby vicinity attack each other, and her fourth allows her to absorb incoming attacks and then deal out burst of damage.
Limbo is a pretty specialized frame, he's only really good for certain applications. He's got low armor, so he can't take a lot of damage, but he can use Banish to pull enemies into the void, where they will be vulnerable. While enemies are in the void, Limbo can use Stasis to make them freeze for a limited time. His third ability is kind of useless, but it will surround enemies with an energy field that will spread the void to nearby enemies once the affected enemy dies. Cataclysm is great for defense, it summons a huge void rift that can encompass a large area and for a limited time. Enemies in the cataclysm's vortex will sustain continuous damage, and they are subject to Stasis and can be repeatedly damaged and knocked down with Banish. While in the void, Limbo will not take damage from enemies or objects located outside it, and he will not trip alarms or traps, so he's good for spy missions. Limbo and allies can also replenish energy while in the void. In short, Limbo has a unique set of tools that one must learn how to best use, and not everyone takes the time to learn how to play to his strengths. He's a better frame than Nyx, that's for sure.
As for Gara, she's a pretty great defensive frame. Her first ability simply allows her to pelt a nearby foe with shards of glass for some damage, it's not that useful honestly. Her second ability summons shards of glass that will surround her and deal AOE damage to nearby enemies. Her third ability is great for defense, she will summon a large glass barrier that enemies cannot pass through, so this is great for protecting objectives. Her fourth ability, I don't really remember what it does, but honestly her third is the most useful.
Honestly, Gara is kind of a pain in the ass to acquire, so if you want something sooner than later, go for Limbo. Nyx a shit, don't even bother.

Amesha or Itzal archwing wise. Amesha makes you fucking invincible while Itzal makes you go real fast. Weapon wise for Jordas, either the grattler or velocitus will do. Fluctus is perfect for everything else though, but at least in my case it didn't work out too well for Jordas.
If you all that then congratulations, archwing missions will never be an issue for you and you can carry everybody else that still has an odonata and imperator.

If you have really shit default archwing gear you can still probably solo J3. Solo will reduce the enemy add spawns which are probably more dangerous then J3 itself. Always use corrosive projection, especially if you go in a party. Make sure to level all your gear to 30 first to put as many mods on your shit gun, and make use of the odonata's 1st ability because it increases crit damage from your guns while active. And just shoot the boss in the ass as usual. When it switches positions, follow it from behind and shoot it while boosting after it. Better guns will just make the process much faster.
Best place to level archwing gear is the archwing mobile defense in Neptune.

Rhino is solid, and also the earliest frame you can get aside from your starter frame.
Earth drops Hydroid, but only after MR5, and only after farming a super annoying boss fight. Not worth it until later anyway, as he only gets really useful with his Pilfering Swarm augment generally speaking.
Mars has Excal now I think, so if you didn't start with Excal he should probably be your first goal for a new frame. Mag is on Phobos, which you'll unlock after Mars, so you can farm those two in pretty quick order.
Frost is found on Ceres and is a worthwhile option for any kind of static defense mission type.
Trinity, who's basically the ultimate support-type frame in game, is now acquired via the Ambulas boss fight on Pluto, so you won't be seeing her for awhile. Get the Twitch Trinity Prime promotion if you want her earlier than that.
I would aim for Excal first if you don't have him, Rhino if you do, and then probably Frost if you want a different kind of tank compared to Rhino, or Mag if you're feeling more control/caster-y. You're going to want all of them eventually for that sweet sweet MR.

Inaros is probably the best tank frame in the game at current. Arguably as good as nidus because nidus has to survive long enough to get his stacks up, and has to be linked to be near as survivable. His abilities are all really good except for his sandstorm. His 1 is a blind, and he has a passive that he gets 20% hp back on finisher, so it's an easy way to CC and get health back. His 2 CCs an enemy and makes you completely invuln while you use it, and you can just keep eating people until you're health is topped off. His 3 is sandstorm and is really only good for fucking around and throwing enemies across the room for fun. His 4 is great as it gives him +100% armor when fully charged, gives him status immunity with his augment, and you can use it to make a spreading CC effect that steals a lot of health for you and your team.

These are only things I think are "good" in that they are available at MR 8 and can handle the star chart and sorties to varying degrees. None of them require rivens to be good or get you through Sorties. However some will require more investment, Forma, than others. However however there are still some really good weapons past MR 8 that you will have to grind exp for. Which is far more of a barrier than rivens are, but still small considering how many other things you have available to you.
Also Riven mods range from MR 8 to 16; though your point still stands.
If it helps, I mainly do my Sorties either solo or duo with a friend as Valkyr with the Ignis Wraith either built for Hysteria for most content or Eternal War + Hirudo for Survivals. If it's a Mobile Defense or similar then I take Frost. If it's spy I take Ivara. This is a very casual approach, but I do adjust slightly based on the content, like how I brought Titania to today's Lephantis Assassination since she's reasonably hard for it to hit and her Dex Pixia can shred him. Albeit much more slowly today since it was an Elemental Enhancement. I only ever skip it if it's a Raptor or Kela De Thaym Assassination since those are a pain in the ass.
Ultimately I think you just need a change in perspective. Do not concern yourself with Rivens as your goal. At all. If you get a decent one from a sortie on a weapon you kinda liked, then great. Even better if it's worth lots so you can Jew some goy out of plat. I would say instead to look forward to seeing how each weapon feels to better refine your playstyle. Nevermind that many of the weapons are derivative of others and some of the actually interesting ones have dogshit stats that not even a godlike riven could save.
Everyone has hated Operators from day 1. I personally find it confusing that Steve's original vision was of a space ninja James Bond almost, but instead decided to put shitty, edgy potato kids as the main characters. Of course the usual argument that they shit all over the lore and mystique of the game goes without question. Had this ended with Second Dream that would have been remotely tolerable, but they couldn't stop there. Then War Within had to come along and shit all over the game play and the lore even more. Our potatoes are no longer all powerful void beings who could blow up sentients instantly and whose power could only be called on infrequently, but instead just spread void piss on giant trees and Stalker occasionally. The War Within is when they dropped the biggest middle finger of a balance patch in the form of Riven mods as well. Rather than give some TLC to old weapons they'd rather introduce a lotto to potentially fix them, but not really since almost everything in the game scales off of percentages so weapons with 5 crit and status have nothing to scale up with and weapons that are already good will still take their weakened rivens because they are still BiS for that weapon. Of course Dispositions were introduced after the system came out, and it seemed like a good idea on paper, but the inherent problems remained and DE will seldom touch Dispositions since people aren't going to spend plat on something that could become worth less. It reminds me a lot of WoTC creating the Reserved List for Magic after they reprinted a bunch of cards and some (((speculators))) got very upset with their investment being trashed so they made a decision that actively hurts their game even today. Not that it matters since Magic sets have become so fucking tame and risk averse to interesting cards and mechanics, not to mention the poz that continues to infect it.

Ceres or Mercury work. I prefer Ceres. Look for the specific tileset that has a couple of train cars on a curve. There's usually a rock ledge on the inside of the curve past the train cars and you can find 1-3 vestan moss there. Sometimes that tileset connects with identical versions of itself too, so if you get really lucky you'll find 2-3 in a row each with 1-3 moss on them.

The only Survival on Neptune is a Dark Sector. Neptune spawns many more Oxium Ospereys than normal. Excavation might work, haven't tried , but the practice was going to Galitea, Neptune, doing what they nerfed, and letting the Oxium flow. Booben's passive now buffs his dmg by 25% globally against CC'd targets. So basically everything he does will result in a damage increase to everything else he does. And it's any CC, so blast from a weapon, or frozen from a friendly Frost, or Bastille/Vortex CC, anything that removes the enemies ability to act. They also gave a minor buff to his tesla grenades, specifically you can "charge" them before you throw them for up to double the damage and half the re-cast on the zap it does, but it's not really practical.

the strun riven is serviceable. that extra toxin will prioritize corrosive procs and you can replace seeking fury which i consider mandatory on the majority of shotguns. it will also allow you to skip out on two dual stat for even more corrosive priority
for the last slot you can put on whatever you want, primed ravage, contagious spread and vicious spread is an option to increase the fire damage when you strip armor while maintaining corrosive priority

Mag capacity and dmg are both nice, but that reload speed penalty could be killer. I like a fast reload on the Astilla, keeps it nice and snappy. And you go through shots pretty quickly since it's full-auto capable. I get decent use out of mine in ESO and sorties without a riven, so as long as you've got dmg and ideally at least an elemental damage on it you should be good to go.

As a base weapon with no damage amps, great for killing lower leveled enemies but doesn't excel late. If you have something like Chroma or Mirage with a huge damage amp, its incredibly good at clearing large groups without having to aim much, and its one of the very few weapons I'd honestly say Sinister Range is worth slapping into because it extends the range of the chain lightning as well.

That may be technically correct because of how much EHP enemies have thanks to armor scaling in this game, but a single slash proc from Tigris Prime deals about as much damage as Strun Wraith does total. Tigris P has 17.6 pellets per shot (with Hell's Chamber) and 14 of those will proc slash on average. At 43k total damage each proc will deal 15k and assuming the average of 14 pellets procing slash that's over 200k damage directly to health with just one shot. A level 155 Corrupted Bombard has just over 100k health and an uncomfortable amount of armor. I would have to go into the simulacrum to test how many shots it takes SW to kill such an enemy, but I can already tell from simple math that it takes Tigris Prime exactly one shot and that it would take SW at least more than one, but likely several.

Adding on to this, you build Tigris P. for 100% status anyway, and ideally slot it with a +90 or 120% slash mod as well. The combined elemental status you should go for is Viral+Rad, for the CC provided by the Rad damage along with the 1/2 life pool debuff provided by the Viral proc, which in effect doubles the effectiveness of your slash procs.

If you get really fucking lucky, Darvo might sell these frames as a part of his daily deal. I got Vauban that way actually; only ended up paying about 60p, which really meant about 20p for the frame since it came with a slot and a potato already. If you can stand to wait maybe a week and just religiously check Darvo each day, maybe you'll get lucky. Odds are against you though. Having said that, of those three frames, they all excel in everything the game has to offer, but Harrow wins a mention for being a key part of ayydolon hunting squads. Properly built with just the right amount of duration he can absorb each set of radial magnetic blasts - completely negating them - and have his 4 up and ready to go in time for the next blast while also providing a strong crit chance boost to the whole squad. Octavia and Nidus, by comparison, are far less useful on ayydolons. Harrow farming also necessitates doing Defection missions, and those are fucking cancer. Derelict survival and salvage are way less bullshit in comparison.

1) Weapons and warframes are locked behind Mastery Rank progression, which means that players who wish to be able to actually play the game well will have to acquire Mastery Rank in order to expand their repertoire
2) After the initial clearing of the star chart, Mastery Rank is acquired through warframe and weapon progression (i.e. acquire affinity to get each frame and weapon to max rank, get a certain amount of experience for Mastery per each advancement in level)
3) Mastery Rank progression is indirectly tied to weapon and warframe acquisition, which are bound to the act of spending platinum. It's just that simple. No plat? Then no new weapons or warfremes (or slots for them), which means you're stuck at your current Mastery Rank until you can acquire more
4) It is possible to pay real world money to circumvent some portion of the RNG regarding resource acquisition, mod acquisition, and even experience acquisition
The progression for a new player with an endless supply of money to throw at the game would look something like this:

>Pump the game full of your cold hard cash, get a fuckton of plat to start with
>Buy 30 day affinity, credit, resource, and resource drop chance boosters
>Buy all the weapons for your current MR (lol who needs to actually collect resources amirite?)

Anon, the definition of P2W is actually a bit deeper, but in the end much simpler, than what most discussions tend to become.
To put it simply, P2W is the method by which any non-Whale is turned into fodder.
It's not merely about giving a player an advantage, it has to be an advantage over ANOTHER player. This is key to P2W.
The purpose here is that, when you play a P2W game you will pay with either money or with time. If you pay with money, you're a whale. You get an advantage over other players, you'll win most of your matches against them because of that advantage and feel good and happy because deep down you think you're more skilled than they are.
If you refuse to spend money, then you are fodder. You are there so the whales have someone to beat and justify the cash they spent, so you're contributing time instead. You're essentially Easy AI that isn't supposed to pose too much a chalenge, you'll lose by design so the whales feel good about it.
This is why the discussion about Warframe being or not being P2W doesn't actually make much sense. The only PVP in the game does not let you buy mods or do anything close to that, everything else is PvE where there's no "fodder" players being beaten by whales.

I can see you're a little bit slow, so I'll spell it out for you: I was referring to the starting weapons that you get at very low Mastery Rank, such as the Paris, Bo, Vectis, and others. You must either purchase a blueprint for an initial credit cost and then acquire the resources to actually produce the weapon via the foundry, or you can simply pay for the fully crafted weapon that's ready to go, along with an inventory slot and an Orokin Catalyst already installed. Assuming you have bottomless pockets, then the latter option is obviously more appealing.

Wisps are the primed reason I dont do Cetus content anymore, I even ignore the Arkanas. Fish ? Quick and chill. Mining ? Boring but chill. Shards ? Normal gameplay grind, can do. The Jat Kusar is often used with Atlas because Landslide benefits from impact mods and the Jat Kusar can make use of those mods while also offering a bit of crowd control.
The interesting thing about landslide is that unlike peacemaker and exalted blade, I've read that rivens can affect it.
I built War with impact and raw damage and it gives exalted blade a run for its money. A riven with more impact and damage may turn Atlas into the ultimate punching machine.

Your shotgun rivens aren't absolutely perfect but they're on the upper end. You can use them and be satisfied or find a buyer.
I doubt that flight speed affects the sobek meaningfully.

The Euphona has dual statistic sets. The slug benefits from critical hits and the shotgun from status.

I'd say swap natural talent for primed flow, cause you're running negative eff. Put it where stretch is and put stretch where NT was. And then I'd say take out cunning drift and put in umbral fiber where insatiable is. The armor is way more useful than you think, at least in high level.

Panthera is pretty good. With a riven? I have my first endgame rifle. The grind has been downhill since. My only complaint is how low the Cetus daily standing cap is.
