Shit's called Revenge Value. Basically if you deal enough damage to a boss in a short timeframe without them being able to retaliate, they'll break out of their stunlock in order to perform a revenge attack. This is to give bosses a fighting chance and at least give them some opportunity to deal damage to you, else the whole fight would be you just stunlocking them to death without them ever attacking back. Different attacks of yours have different Revenge Values which fill up the boss' Revenge Value gauge, so you can try figuring out which combos are the most efficient.

You're not very bright OP. You should know all bosses have a revenge value, and in order so they don't get infinitely combo'd at a certain damage value they do a combo-breaking attack. just figure out their revenge value so you maximize damage windows then stop attacking so you don't get punished
Furthermore you're retarded. No. You don't have to unequip combo plus. Combo plus and combo plus finisher are good. Revenge Values in 2 are based on how many finishing moves you can do, not hits. The one with damage threshold is 1. 2 is much more forgiving and simple to calculate since you just count how many finishing moves you can do on a boss before he breaks.
