Do you have a game, or a bunch of games, that you feel were made specifically for you? That caters to all of your personal tastes and fetishes, that ticks all of your autistic checkboxes?
They might have some technical problems like bugs, or outdated graphics, or whatever, but core gameplay and all accompanying features were made as if personally for you and you alone?
Picture not really related, but I love urushihara and played through the first langrisser a bunch of times, so there it is.

I feel bad for you anon.
One such game for me would be Armored Core Last Raven. It has anything I would ever want from mech sim
>right balance between anime and pseudo-realism
>infantry for scale and for you to stomp on
>insane customisation
>the option for post game grinding, but no grinding on new game
>body parts destruction displayed visually and reflecting in gameplay
>10/10 ost
>great story provided in text boxes so you can ignore or spend hours reading
>non-linear one at that
>60 fps with rare dips
>good graphics that hold up nicely even today
>choice between modern control scheme and classic AC one
>portable version if you travel somewhere
Of course it has a bunch of problems, mostly tied to being PS2 game.
<dead online
<no HD support
<no moddabilty
<doesn't look good on modern displays
I also heard it has problems with emulation, while most PS2 games works like ports at this point.
I would really love some HD re-release of Last Raven with updated online mode so you could have both Arena and Co-op modes.

Informations about it are too vague at the moment to feel one way or another. I just know I like the idea of customizable characters - it wouldn't have made sense to force William to continue adventuring as he went as far as he could in the setting. My idea for a sequel was a completely different story during the Bakumatsu, but it seems they're going the route leaving history behind and having a more fantasy setting. Which is a shame since the historical stuff was great in the first one.

It's like Pokémon that it has a main storyline for you to complete but after it's completed the game continues on.
The difference is that the meat of the game is everything but the main storyline and you can freely do everything in the game while ignoring the main storyline almost completely.
Elona hits pretty close to home with me, but some of the later grinding shit is too asinine for me, I end up dropping it.

My personal problem with BB is that it's fast paced action game, so framerate lock hampers it a bit more than cool-down based JRPG.
I wish they would just retroactively patched in some action mode or whatver, that sacrifices post-processing for framerates. Nioh and FF15 both did this. I believe Nioh actually had it right off the bat.

Gotcha Force, Europa Universalis 4 (until the dlc autism became too overwhelming), and Nier Automata.
Gotcha Force had gameplay I loved and the whole fighting robot aesthetic stuck with me since I'm a mecha fag and build gunpla.
Europa Universalis gave me an excuse to learn more about history since I had an excellent world history teacher when I was younger but never got around to regular learning on my own.
Nier A-Tomato I had cozy aesthetics. It wounds weird finding the city ruins so inviting. Maybe just clean crisp cities with greenery around them felt nice regardless of whether its overgrown ruins or a well tended city.
And call me a faggot, but persona 5. At least its not as bad as the I saw with "Take Your Heart" tattooed on his shoulder at EVO
