TF2 is considered "dead" by streamers but you can still find a match within a minute of booting up a game. Often youtubers and streamers latch on to certain games because they already have a massive fanbase. Overwatch would've been popular anyway because it's a Blizzard game. He's pretty chill, has some variety, plays with his subs and followers, supports the smaller streamers which is how I realize how overlooked some these streamers are based on production quality, personality, or interaction. Also, there's one speedrunner that I watch that does all mainline Fallout games even 4 and he's pretty cool. It died during (and mostly because) of the 2nd exodus and GG. I know this because GYP actually helped inspire me to make videos in the first place and I talked to some of the people who were apart of it at the time. Basically just like with the split that caused the first exodus a bunch of people were mad at each other and mixed about the events happening at the time. People couldn't do the mature thing and just settle their differences so they crumbled. On top of that they also had a few other issues like if people should get paid for their work or do it for free. It hated seeing it go because I was hoping to one day apply for the place myself. But in all honesty it wouldn't be hard to create a new /v/ gaming news site. Just get a few /v/ youtubers (they don't have to be big) to agree to post their content as well as on youtube and have them provide a link to the site in their desciptions. You would also need someone willing to create the site but considering the guys over at the GG general were able to make Deep Freeze that likely wouldn't be too difficult either. Just get a bit of people willing to do it and it can be done. If I knew anything about building a website I would try my hand at it.

I do, but I get no views on twitch, instead I use a smallish site that pays me every week where I also get almost no views but I get paid $80-100 a week for it I'm probably boring, I don't think I have terribly shit taste in games, although I forced myself to play overwatch for a good while thinking it'd be popular, and got an esports team invite with a super shitty contract in the process.

Thankfully my backlog is so obscenely huge I will most likely die before finishing it, especially with all those 40 hour+ JRPGs in there. Plus my memory isn't the greatest so I have no problem replaying games after a while, I'm replaying the original Half Life right now and it's almost like a brand new experience. Not to mention all the mods for games I haven't tried yet.
