Pretty sure that doesn't help. I've actually nearly melted a processor by applying too much, the temp just didn't go through and I only realized when I checked an analytics program and it listed my processor temp as 98 degrees Celsius.

>>15212963

That tacky "It's a dry heat" meme is accurate. But even in the shade it can be really hot here. Mom always felt bad that the K-12 school year started the last week or two weeks of July, as most campuses here are outdoors. And last summer we had weeks of 117+ and even a few days of 120. While I'd certainly imagine humidity would be even worse on top of that, I'm not sure if a humid 80 is worse than 117+ dry. Also, I'd wager Wisconsin has more options for natural shade, as native desert plants don't really provide that much, but I've never been to Wisconsin, so what do I know?

>>15212946

Yeah, we've pretty much just got (a warm) winter, early summer, midsummer, and late summer as seasons. Doesn't help either that there's little visual change unless you're going by somewhere with imported plants that change color or lose their leaves come fall, as cacti and most native desert plants avoid that. Sometimes we'll still be in the 100s until November.

Also, I'd wager Wisconsin has more options for natural shade, as native desert plants don't really provide that much, but I've never been to Wisconsin, so what do I know?

i've lived in wisconsin and arizona and for me personally the humidity is far worse. it's not even about the heat solely. it's everything that comes with the humidity. it's not about the heat exactly, but how uncomfortable it is when you step outside and within a few minutes you're drenched in moisture without any physical activity

I remember one summer afternoon, maybe three or four years back, it not only had enough build up to break the heat wall, but actually rained hard enough I couldn't see a fucking thing more than ten or so feet ahead of the car while I was out, and when I got to where I was going, the rooftop gutter was so full that the water spewing out where the pipe reached the ground might as well have been a miniature water park slide, if one was made with no room for air in it. Honestly hadn't seen anything like that here before then. Closest was one night in junior high where it was storming so bad it ripped the cover of the apartment carport off, but that was more due to the wind than water.

These Anons are correct. The actual temperature here rarely goes above 100, but your perspiration stops being an effective heat dispersal system about 30 degrees lower than that when the atmosphere is already saturated with moisture from living on a subtropical sandbar. Particularly inland (where I am), because you aren't close enough to the beach for constant breeze. So people pass out and even die when it's mid-80s here regularly.

Actually the name of our city is a little interesting.

>Is it true Phoenix was once named Pumpkinville?

>Sort of.

>In 1867 Jack Swilling, who may or may not have been somewhat of a rascal, recognized the potential of the ancient Hohokam canal system in the Valley.

<Swilling was a Confederate veteran, pic related.

>In that same year, he and others settled around what is now roughly 28th and Van Buren streets. They called it Pumpkinville because a lot of pumpkins grew wild in the area.

>In 1868, when Phoenix was first laid out about 4 miles east of Pumpkinville, 20 citizens sat down to pick a name for the new town.

>Swilling favored Stonewall, in honor of the Confederate Gen. Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson. Others suggested Salina for the Salt River that gave the area life.

>In the end, the erudite "Lord" Darrell Duppa, who may or may not have been the black-sheep son of a noble British family, suggested Phoenix. He likened the rise of the town from the ruins of the Hohokam civilization to the phoenix of Egyptian mythology, a bird that kept dying in flames and rising to life again.

>The Board of Supervisors of Yavapai County, which at the time encompassed Phoenix, officially recognized the new town on May 4, 1868. The first post office opened the next month, with Swilling as postmaster.

https://www.azcentral.com/story/travel/local/history/2015/01/19/phoenix-once-named-pumpkinville/21873559/ archive.is wasn't working, but I don't think it's really important for something like this.

Speaking of names of shit out here:

>The naming of the mountain is a bit of lore from the Old West. S P Crater can be climbed, and the lava flow can be viewed from the crater rim. C. J. Babbit, an 1880s rancher and early landowner of the mountain, expressed his opinion that the mountain resembled a chamber pot (or Shit Pot), and locally this became the accepted name. When viewed from certain angles on the ground, the combination of the smooth round shape of the cone, the dark lava spatter on the rim, and the long dark lava flow extruding from the base may resemble a toilet catastrophe. Mapmakers refused to spell out the full name, and the mountain has been shown on maps and other literature with the abbreviated name.

Doesn't change it from being SHIT POT.

Hot tip coming thru: empty your piss bottles and fill them with water 3/4 of the way up, stick six of them in the freezer. Take out 3 when hot and put one on crotch and one behind neck and the third between your feet. When they eventually melt, put back in freezer and get the other 3 out. Repeat. Use with fan for decent air conditioning.

California has pretty much every climate. The south eastern portion of the state is home to a desert called Death Valley. Nestled in the heart of this desert is a little hell bucket called Furnace Creek, which holds the record for the highest reliably recorded air temperature on Earth at 134 °F (56.7 °C) on July 10, 1913, as well as the highest recorded natural ground surface temperature on Earth at 201 °F (93.9 °C) on July 15, 1972.

I am not, I live in a desert climate. It may be hot as a bitch in heat during the summer, but god damn does it make me appreciate how comfy and breezy fall/winter gets.

70-80 is amazing for us desert folk.

That's why you should always pirate. It isn't stealing and claiming to lose something one never had is fucking stupid. It's even more stupid to produce something that can be infinitely reproduced at no cost. Don't listen to other anons who are fools that will never have anything outside of their despair and materials. If you desire something, pirate it. Don't give your money to people who don't deserve it if this farce of a system must go on.

d696c4 No.15214370

>>15214358

It is, you take from the earth as if it's property to possess, reform it into some vain thing to pass the time and chase some fucking feelings like a druggie, all the while polluting the very same earth in the manufacturing, usage, and disposal of your shitty things. Meanwhile, people are starving but you think you deserve something because you metaphorically sucked cock to get a shiny like a fucking whore. Useless to the core and simply because you "did something" you think you deserve the world like you're God. I'm not a commie, but I'm also not gonna lie to myself about how much bullshit you people eat and believe in.

>>15214364

Stealing requires something to be taken. Nothing is taken. Their "time" was taken when they chose to engage in nothing useful regardless of compensation. Nevermind all the countless middle men that did nothing and the continual subversion of society's mind by these entertainment pieces. I called it piracy because that's what the enemy calls it. You know, money grubbing faggots who don't give two shits for you and only suck cock to suck more cock. Just because you do something, doesn't mean you deserve pay. Just meant you did something. Furthermore, people still purchase things despite piracy. Hell file-sharing has made it where people that are successful wouldn't be otherwise, but nothing stops them from allowing lawyers to fuck you for doing no wrong. To support them is like supporting the jew or the devil. Only losers destined for nothing good think otherwise.

I couldn't care any less about piracy given I'm the only one in my group that gets shat on constantly for doing so but it is most definitely stealing. You're unlawfully playing a game without the loicense. People put effort into those 0's and 1's and release, usually a broken piece of shit so I don't care if it's pirated or not but it's still stealing. at least on a meta physical transmorphicalogical level
