So you don't like games from the late '90s. Objectively the best era in video game history.

Anyway there were two Beast Wars games. One was apparently a shooter but I never played it. The other was a fighting game but it's meh. The real issues would be the same issues that stop them from ever making good Transformers games. Even the ones that are okay aren't really great, and don't use the concept of transformation well.
