I actually got into the game again during Legion.

I thought it was the best expansion in a long, long time and and all the new gameplay elements worked really well. We didn't really need an "ending" to the story of the Burning Legion, but it was a neat little experience all the same.

Still, if you hate WoW or what direction WoW took, it won't change your mind. It's pretty much the same game with some new bells and whistles. And the BfA prepatch took a few of those nifty new features out, which was disappointing but not game wrecking.

8/10 it was nice. Better than WoD and Cata, definitely. WoD was like a bad filler episode in a shonen anime and the damage Cata did far outweighed the good.

I still occasionally play i know, time sunk fallacy. They just introduced a prequest event that's fully playable on the beta, but they timegated the event after a short 20min quest. That cinematic is so horrifyingly bad. The old lore about how manipulative evil and cunning Sargeras was and how he worked was good. Then they changed it. Then I see this cinematic and they made him some dumbo on a cloud with a sword. He doesn't even look 1/10 as intimidating as you would think from the lore. I was playing a Wrath private server by myself for quite a while, with some modules installed that made all the dungeons and raids soloable at a reasonable difficulty curve. And I have to say, Wrath really was the best time for the game, mechanically. After a few months of that I hopped onto retail, and holy unrighteous fuck is the game dumbed down. It really is sad. I wish I could still enjoy this game but it's just such a mess. The developers have tried so hard to make the most streamlined, shiny, easy, soulless MMO ever, and they've succeeded, but at what cost? Even the lighting in the BE starting zone seems plastic in comparison when placed side by side with Wrath. What gives?

Really bummed about the state of this game, as Wrath only has enough content to last one for so long.
