This, really. Being able to fuck someone up with knowledge and skill has always been satisfying, especially in games where people can whale to hell and back and think they're hot shit with their shiny gear while all you've got is a wooden plank, a pot, and a dream. Age Of Wushu comes to mind.

i think he wants there to be a stake. eg. I play conan exiles these days, last night i managed to scavenge the leftovers of a big clan invasion. I managed to scavenge some low tier explosives, I decided to use this on a larger clans base when they weren't around to defend. By happenstance I happen to break into the largest clans explosives cache so I used their explosives to blow all the bigger clans bases and take all their stuff. Being a solo player I had way more than I needed so I just ended up giving away all their stuff to other solo players randomly so if the big clans retaliate against me hey aren't going to get any of their stuff back, all round a fun evening for me.

Yes sir I do. That's why the only PVP game I have enjoyed for hundreds of hours is Squad plus the little bit of LiFMMO I've played (Forest Village is like single player LiF). Something like Battlefield or CoD is really just another arena shooter and only good for the rush or gamble. If you want really persiatant PvP; Life is Feudal MMO is awesome.

i've heard mixed things tbh. Some servers are buggy/have poor performance some servers work fine. Personally I've had no issues performance on the official server I am on.

>Server Types

Besides private/unofficial there are 3 types.

<PvE - Can't interact with anyone

<PvP - Full PvP, Building destruction only available during "raid times" which is during primetime hours so unemployed people can't wreck your shit when you offline.

<PvE Conflict - Exactly the same as PvE except during primetime you're allowed to hurt eachother (still no base destruction).

>Game Performance

Game wise it is still buggy. The company(funcom) is based in Norway, their country shutsdown in the month of July so no fixes till the country comes back online in August.

>The Game Itself

The survival part is actually pretty easy. Depending on your playstyle you'll spend your time gathering/crafting/building , gathering/fighting or some variant. Personally I play like a terrorist, instead of huge bases I construct safe houses and hidden supply caches around the map. My down time is spent crafting building pieces, explosives and collecting intel (scouting). When raid time is on, i'll try and wait for the bigger clans to go to war with each other and sap their bases while they're gone then towards the end i'll go to their victims place and vulture what i can. Once raid time is over, i'll hide my loot and distribute the spare amongst solo or newbie players and smaller clans, that way I have allies even though I am solo and the big clans never get their stuff back when they attack one of my bases. I especially love it when they attack decoy bases with nothing in them, explosives are costly to make compared to building, so I know each time they take down an empty vault they wasted an inordinate amount of resources.

If you're not into PvP, you can always join a PvE server and just become a building autist. It's relaxing in its own way. Dungeons and bosses are fairly easy, they just have a lot of HP.

It's okay. Needs a hell of a lot of quality of life improvements though. I can't speak to the servers since I've only played alongside friends on my own private server with the purge settings tweaked to turn it into a horde survival game.

They need an official PvE server variant which has purges occur way more often.

In fighting games you can't 1vX, in Conan I managed to single handedly make a Clan quit coz I kept them in their base and did not allow any of them to leave. They tried to get me all at the same time, but they were idiots who can't space and just mashed buttons. All I had to do is keep the right distance by runnin and blocking their 2hander flailing with my shield, then poke em with the Axe secondary leap attack (it's an armor move).
