There's problems with the 3DS when it comes to DS games

for example the inputs register less at least for certain games. I played a DS chrono trigger cart on my 3DS and I could never win the drinking minigame (which requires as fast as possible button mashing) no matter how hard I tried; I pop it into my DS and I win first or second try

Play Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkness, Time or Sky; they're all basically the same thing afaik; I played Darkness.

Days of Ruin is best Advance Wars, Dual Strike is shit

Don't bother with DS FE, GBA and SNES ones are far better

No idea about metroid prime hunters but its probably shit

Metroid prime hunters is the best fps on the platform imo. The controls are surprisingly good after you get used to em. Speaking of, whats the secret to playing super mario 64 DS? I just can't play that game for more than 5 minutes before getting frustrated with the controls.

Play the first Pokemon Ranger game if you haven't already. It has a unique gameplay concept that not even its sequels executed as well. Though its replay value is somewhat limited due to the slow start it has, it is a great game.

Play the original since the DS version is fucking terrible no matter what people say, the pastel low-res flat textures are ugly as shit, the original is just gourard shading but still looks and plays better.

I can give you a few dozen reasons the NDS version is better than the remake.

You can also force the 3D games to run at double resolution, although if you're not using the new 3DS the framerate might drop.

Is there any way to access the old wifi distributed content these days (given that the DS wifi has been dead since like 2012), or is your best bet to find a preowned copy that still has it on there, or does starting a new game wipe the download memory (the way mainline Pokemon does, if memory serves)? Or is it stored in some other fashion?

Where's a /v/ recommends chart? I'd also like suggestions, but for games that aren't pokemon.

I do remember an effort to save wifi packages for both the Wii and DS. I just don't really know if much has come of them yet. Would be nice if some, where it's just sending you content, could be handled like old Pokemon Gen V distributions were, with the player connecting to a simulated server, or whatever it was (feels like forever ago now) to get cloned pokemon.

Evolve isn't on 3DS

I started playing Red Team recently. Couldn't be fucked when I realised nothing could evolve until the end of the game. Wasted my time with a shitty Tyrogue that only got 1 stat point on level up and stuck with a Pikachu I couldn't make into a dope Raichu.

Are all the PMDs like that or is there one where you can evolve normally throughout the game?
