Women, in general, are not nearly as much into vidya, they just mostly do what's popular, so they'll play popular games, which tend to be shooters, BRs, the occasional Mario game (which end up having some semi-challenging stages later on), and those are not the types of games they're good at. I get the feeling that women could be good at slower games, like JRPGs or puzzle games like Layton, but they're nowhere near as popular, so women gain nothing from playing them.

It was like that in my shcools. I moved around a lot but it was always the same. It would usually happen in gym, the athletes picked on anyone who wasn't athletic or part of a clique. When i was in highschool i was hanging out with a girl for awhile (it was a disaster) and she'd come to my house and mostly just use myspace for hours but one day she wanted to try a video game so we popped jak and daxter in the ol' PS2 and despite getting maybe a quarter way into the game she consistently forgot controls and would come to full stop for almost every jump in the game. I dunno if it's just because I've played video games my whole life or it's just plain retardation that after multiple attempts at something the concept of the flow of the game didn't stick. It also reminds me of when my roommates put some of those "elders react' videos on which is normalfag-core as fuck but they had old folks playing games and even the ones who started getting a hang of it had a consistent issue with camera control, it was the most frustrating part to watch because they'd never correct their camera while moving around in the game.

I can recount a similar matter with my sister, except she's four years younger than me, and then is when I was around 12.

In fact, she was never really able to play most of the games she wanted to because she could never seem to remember the controls or figure out what to actually do. So, what ended up happening was that to shut her up (Because she started crying over how she couldn't play the game), my parents demanded that I "show" her how to beat it (Which often times resulted in me playing the game for half an hour before handing it back to her, and then it would start all over again). And, even the her most recent attempt to play through the GBC Pokemon games over a year ago, she never actually completed the game and just ended up dropping it.

The problem is the industry and the market analysts who fucked up vidya for females AND for males. They are not interested in advancing your reflex, skill or strategy, they want you to waste a lot of time on their titles and on their marketplace.
They also teach you that skill is superseded by enough money expenditure, which is how somebody envisions society at large, incidentally.
If I had money/time to throw at vidya I would get old arcade roms or games containing pre-'85 arcades and play them on MAME. The consoles and the pcs until amiga were shit compared to arcades then. Some amiga titles might be interesting next but with big sprites and nice graphics pure playability went down in the list of priorities. Really, videogames began to systematically suck in 1985.
