It was. I can't remember the names of them, but the "lootbox" was a giant cube or something that you had to destroy a bunch of blocks to proceed a layer deeper. You could pay to instantly clear a layer, bog someone else down with another layer, maybe some other stuff, and for 70 USD a "diamond chisel" to permanently clear blocks more quickly. This was all to fund Molyneux's new game which was basically an MMO version of Black and White where one player was God. The player who won the event got to be God for the first 6 months of the game IIRC. Never knew the dude turned it down though. Odd to go through so much work just to spit instead of swallow.
