Everyone that made the code where long since gone and didn't leave any notes cause "FUCK THE MAN, AND FUCK THIS JOB", ect. Thats not even going into developer teams in India that of course every company has. In the movie it is Elastigirl whom is overly concerned with getting back to being a house wife and only takes the job so her husband can follow his dream of being a super hero breadwinner again. Mr. Incredible is shown as a very realistic father in the movie. He isn't totally incompetent at raising his kids, but if he was perfect at it there wouldn't be a storyso really liked how realistic Mr. Incredible's frustration was at having to watch his wife do the Hero work. The movie didn't try to shame him or make him look petty for it, they showed how frustrating it was for him, and how he felt about it without berating him. The movie was really good, I thought it was going to be pure cancer going in but I really enjoyed it from beginning to end. The villain was cool too. She tried to get Helen to go all feminist and she shoots her down and says she is doing all of this for her husband and children's future. I agree with most of what you say, but I have to wonder if games are any older than theater. Both surely date to prehistory in some form. I can also see how stories are useful to the mind. These news made me dig up AVP2010 from my backlog, and what a load of shit it is. Everywhere is contextual actions: crawling into a vent, eating an enemy, throwing a distraction, jumping on a branch… You have to be in the right place, holding the right button to perform them: they just couldn't just have them organically part of the gameplay, like using direction buttons and item wherever.
It gets paradoxical: you have to keep an enemy targeted (hold one button), to perform a contextual action where you run in for an execution… which in a normal game would just amount to pressing forward and attack.
