Its essentially all but crippled and an absolute pain to use now. You basically have to use jewtube alongside it if you want to get anywhere which nearly defeats the point of using it.
It was a nice run, I definitely had use for it at times.
My guess is it had to do with the fag recently using advertising. I saw Nord VPN ads on the margins yesterday and i don't know how long they've been around since I don't use it all that much anymore.

The reason we started using HookTube in the first place was not to give views to videos.
It all still comes from YouTube.
There is literally nothing wrong with linking good quality videos from YouTube.
Everything else should probably be put in webm format.

The api isn't designed for videos and thus it gives lackluster information as to the content of the video.
It works for music because music is sound and generally mostly known for it's title/artist.
Where as a video is visual and jewtube is filled with shitty clickbait vids that give no information as to it's contents.
Hooktube had this thing where if you hovered over the thumbnail you could see parts of the actual vid, giving you more knowledge as to it's content.

Hooktube, when it had a search function, gave zero results for the term "loli" and returned an unknown error unless you broke the term up. As shown by OP's >>15136832 image, Cyrillic was also censored for some reason. Who knows how much other shit was arbitrarily censored on hooktube becuase the faggot running the site didn't like it. Hooktube has shown that it can be done. I believe other alternatives will crop up.
