I don't play Rainbow Six, what the fuck did they add? And whatever it is I bet it was not fun at all.

That game mode was only fun for the first 2 times on each map, after that it was a giant boring slog that all the effort that went into making this game mode could been invested to actually improving the game. But instead Ubikikes wanted a way to peddle their 120 dollar for the full outbreak collection cosmetic loot boxes. Everyone I know was glad that the gamemode was gone, every fucking match was exactly the same, there was no AI director like L4D or dynamic item placement which made replayability non existent. The charm challenge was a giant ass pain too, it only made slogging through the maps even worse when you had to kill 10 smashers in the game mode, where they spawn only once per map so have fun playing an 30 minute long campaign 10 times for your shitty trinket. Let's not forget the 2 operators that were clearly balanced for PVE instead of PVP, but ubisoft still insisted to have them be shoved into PVP, causing everyone to run Lion and sometimes Finka. Jesus what a shitshow Outbreak was, only Operation Health was shitter than this.

It was 3 missions where they added a L4D game where you play as a select few operators trying to get rid of an AYYYY virus. I think they admitted that the ops they released at the time was made more for that game mode.

Their philosophy of having those timed playlists and even game modes and maps is inane.

Probably this all boils down to the Games As A Service model Ubisoft is pursuing with most of its AAA titles. Create some kind of artificial scarcity, force players to submit to your weird schedules and generate some reoccurring player investments.

Aside from that it's actually a pretty enjoyable game after the updates

I want to play CoD zombies occasionally and siege looked like a better game for it with the destruction + fortification mechanics. I'm just hoping that angry fans can light a fire under Ubisoft's ass and convince them to bring back outbreak permanently, in the meantime I'll be playing other games, like Nioh and MHW.

My guess would be that they'll bring it back later in the games lifecycle. I mean, considering they want it to run for another three years it would feel like a missed chance to not properly implement Outbreak.

Variety is good and can get you new players as a dev or publisher. Let's just hope the PMs over at Ubisoft aren't as retarded as they seem to be

All missions are the same, there's no enemy variety, and classes are very limited.

Also thanks to the twitch exposure i last mentioned, the dev team must have gotten a lot of shekels, so i'm sure they will take the lazy route now that money is in their pockets and leave the game in it's current state.

A million times this. They were fine with using a pay to not grind model for the DLC operators. I see no reason they can't use it with cosmetics too except for "poor devs need moar shekels goy"

The best part of this mode was running it solo on the highest difficulty. I never beat any of the last missions solo, but I did eventually beat 2 Apexes at the same time. Took me forever, but I did it. Felt so damn good.
