Music for playing video games Anonymous 07/04/18 (Wed) 09:11:26 448fe3 No.15102846
Do you turn on your custom music when playing vidya, anon?

Only game I ever really did that with was Sven Coop. I just thought the built-in mp3 player was neat. I used to listen to podcasts more often but they all pretty well suck now.

Only a VGM stream, its a shame that dubtrack and plug.dj are dead for VGM nowadays. Used to frequent an /v/ room for both sites that had cool people and great tunes that wasn't standard shit like LoZ or Protomen every other song

Its useless gimmick. Why don't use players like Audacious or MusicBee, lowering the game's internal music volume?

The crazy frog CD my grandma got me, on xbox san andreas.
Now THAT was an experience. Mowing people down in a car, chased by the police to this tune.

I had more weird experience in my youth of listening to 2 Unlimited when playing warcraft 3. Now both are associated with each other in my mind for no good reason.

The in game music, unless it's something like Truck Simulator.

I thought it was nice for skipping around songs while fullscreen, and was using it mainly back when I had an extreme toaster just so there was even that much less demand on it. It honestly ran worse just having winamp going in the background while playing.

>skipping around songs while fullscreen
You know, there are multimedia keyboards with skip buttons that actually work on most players while fullscreen in another application.

Unless the music's shit, I stick with the ingame soundtrack
However, I discovered in the late 90s that playing beat'em-ups to Chumbawamba is god tier

eurobeat in racing games, melodeath for action hack and slash, but most of the time I just listen to the game ost, unless it's a game I played so many times it's burned in my brain

I used to listen to Ragna's theme (Blazblue: CS Extend) while playing Scout in TF2 or dodge rolling around getting head shots and meat shots with a beam rifle/wide shotty combo in Loadout. Also progressive metal in Def Jam Icon because bass in songs caused stage hazards to usually explode or act up and it was sick as fuck. Also I'd play music over Dead Rising while trying to unlock the god damn Z-Sword in Infinite Mode. Fun fact: I got it then my Xbox Live profile was fucked up so I deleted my console's cache and it removed all of my achievements and progress. I lost the sword after a 15-hour game session.

This while going through the snowy Ashes of Ariandel DLC area in DaS3 was comfy as fuck
