Only if you download a specific version that some guy called Malseph released just recently. Basically there's been a bunch of drama about one server full of "toxic" players who have been blacklisted and the entire project has been split into these two factions for the moment. Malseph was running the biggest server and he got the banhammer by some moderator for the browser or something because of some horseshit drama so Malseph's whole operation has gone underground with him releasing his own versions of TES3MP. The current one he released has spells and enchantments working (unlike the version OP has provided).

So, if you want enchants and potions to work, you'll have to get that version instead and play on his server, unless OP or some anon decides to host a server using this version as well.

I just put tamriel on my morrowind, it is damn huge!

Yeah all the custom spell related stuff (enchants, custom spells, player-made potions) should work. They did just release it several days ago though, so there might be some hiccups but so far I haven't had any issues.

Malseph's server is a vanilla server with some custom scripts to include player housing, banking, etc.

You only need the base game+expansions to play.

You can if you want to, but if some anon has the know-how to host a server they can just as easily use Malseph's client and the 8ch server should have all the player-made enchants and whatnot as well.

Otherwise, you won't even be able to see Malseph's server or join it. You can also host your own server using this client, and it will appear in the browser for this client.

Well, fuck I actually wasn't that aware of all this. Even so, I doubt he's as ruthless about promoting the one server since he's running his own browser now. r-right?

His claims to others seemed to be that all these accusations against him were only "hearsay" but it doesn't seem likely that these people really had anything to gain from lying about it. Either way, his server/browser is still the only one that has custom spells/potions and the like, and his targets in the past were only larger, public servers so hosting in his browser might not be as dangerous as it looks.

Also I don't think the server code he uses (player housing, banking, etc,) is available in any way, but the client itself should be open source and maybe if some anon knows how to crack it in the same way Malseph cracked the official browser, we could potentially highjack the custom spells content and just run our own browser free from any normalfag drama.

See, I just had the game spawn you with a rusty iron dagger, some cash and the package, start with that quest and Fargoth's Ring moved to the hollow stump for the first player to find.

There are a lot of towns that are empty, but many that are populated. Last time I checked there are a few towns in skyrim, and most of the eastern part of mainland morrowind has a lot of populated towns with some quests.

Morrowind can be played perfectly well with the current version of OpenMW, been this way for a while. There's not point waiting for it to finish especially when so many mods just werk for it.
