This is the honest truth. Devil May Cry was an action game by Capcom, a company known for responsive controls and and fantastic gameplay. The first game, most consider, to do hack and slash/beat 'em up gameplay in 3d really well, without losing anything that made the 2d counterparts great. There's a bit of an error here since you're judging if he was a hero based on what he failed to accomplish. Mercer, at least for most of the plot, was trying to stop the disease and Blackwatch, he had some good intentions until he found out about what he really was.

Most likely you're being quite candid with it, it's really hard to imagine some of the shit they write these days and try to pass as super hero acts.
Miss Marvel has an entire plot about breaking into the house of a family and taking their kid away because he's gonna set up a bomb in the future. The kid is locked into an illegal prison setup by "super heroes" in parallell to the government, with no authority, jurisdiction or even a trial involved. And it's only mid-comic that Miss Marvel starts to wonder if they are doing the right thing. And by that, she means that they probably shouldn't arrest people before they commit crimes, because barging into someone's house with no warrant to take their kids and put them in a pseudo-concentration camp is just fine.
Of course, the kid is actually bad and when he escapes, he does try to setup a bomb because Miss Marvel won't go on a date with him. I'm not joking, that's his reasoning. And what does Miss Marvel think about that? It's a bother, because she's the one that set him free and now he's gonna make a mess, thereby ruining Miss Marvel's reputation with some other girl she likes\loves\respects\who_cares.
It's surreal not only how fasctistic the left can be sometimes but also that they are completely oblivious to it.
