They're kind of weird, because the battle system isn't super deep, but if you really dig into it, team building can be tricky for the optional higher level dungeons and bosses. There's also a surprising amount of detail and care put into the world of the game. There's also so many different side quests and little activities to do that you can get a little overwhelmed. Not going to tell you that the story is anything great, but overall, I'd rate them as comfy/10. I played the shit out of Yo-Kai Watch 2 last summer and it was the ideal summer-y game in my opinion.
The big complaint I had was that starting with 2, they did the Pokemon thing where they split the game into two slightly different editions and then later gave them a third enhanced version with even more content, dungeons, and special shit to do, but they allow you to transfer your save for the third version, at least. So if your autism is demanding that you unlock all the special yo-kai and get all the unique summons from filling out the medallium, you can't easily do that without having a second 3DS and playing through the game again to trade with yourself, or just cheating.
