Yes, definitely worth. Crit chance is same as Soma Prime, but less crit multiplyer (2.3x instead of Soma's 3.0x)
But it kind of balances out with Soma's damager per bullet being 12 (50% being Slash) and Gorgon's is 23 (75% is impact).
Slap on some good impact mods, more crit chance and damage, and if you're lucky like me you could acquire a riven which makes it even better. The Gorgon riven has a very high disposition, making it a great investment.
Although another issue is the low magazine size. 200 with Soma P verses 120 P Gorgon. Not necessarily a huge issue though, depending on the individual. Reload time is a bitch.
Worth a bit at the very least, definitely worth with riven.

Hammer Shot is a noob trap fam. It is almost always outclassed by something else.
Physical damage mods only really shine one weapons with already high physical damage. Not by ratio like with the Gorgon, but by sheer numbers like with the Tigris.
To prove my point I made a build on par with yours without Bladed Rounds or Primed Cryo Rounds.
Here's an ideal build with your Riven. Bladed Rounds can replace Split Chamber for a minor increase or a major increase over an elemental mod, but we know the caveats that come with that. Oddly one would think stacking Serration, Heavy Caliber, and your Riven would be for the best, but with the addition of your Riven Heavy Caliber stops pulling its weight.

The accuracy penalties on Heavy Caliber and Magnum Force are a pretty big joke. You will likely not notice any difference in accuracy for the vast majority of weapons. I just tested it out on my Prisma Gorgon, keep in mind that my HC is only rank 7 or 8, but I did not notice any difference firing at a Baliff from the top of the central pillar.
On a different tangent for the melee equivalent, Spoiled Strike, the speed decrease isn't a joke and makes the mod almost worthless and another noob trap.

Get as much range as possible, then energy, then a little in max shield. You have skills that restore shields as well as one that gives overshield. Your max overshield is based off your max shield. If you get poisoned/bleed just hit 5 then ctrl. When you dash through foes as a space baby, you restore your space energy. That can be abused for cc, prolonged invincibility, and damage (with the appropriate skill). Having a big ass magnetize allows you to become practically immune to projectiles, and space baby always you to be fully immune to everything even if you didn't unlock skills. Nigga, just bring Ember with a 4 build and you're good to go. Also, getting 3-4 per run is pretty low. When I did Titania I was averaging 6 per run. There's a tileset with a couple of train cars on a track stopped on a curve and on a ledge nearby you can usually find two mosses. Those tilesets can appear connected to each other, and often 3-4 of them will appear in a mission. That, plus random stuff found elsewhere, can mean up to 8 or 9 per run without too much time spent looking.

Made a thread about useless passives, then I mentioned how DE never wanted to make passives in the first place (long ago) and specially resistance based ones, then some good goyim came up and said resistances would trivialize the game with certain enemies that rely on said elements or gimmicks, just think for a second, the game gets trivialized anyway by optimal builds, better passive abilities would at least make sense for some frames like Ember, Frost, Volt, at least if they added resistances.

Gets worse when you remember that you probably want two. One to have 3 ranks in so it combines with Streamline for 170% efficiency and minimal duration loss. Yeah his first phase will be a bit annoying, but a few jumps of practice and you'll get the timing down. His second phase is cake however. This Gara strat is how I farmed the Hemacyte during the Plague Star event. I would never even fire a shot from any of my weapons. Just use 2, refresh it with 4, break 4 with 1, and periodically use Zenurik to keep my energy up. By the time I was done synthesizing all the anti-infested stuff and got to the actual boil, each Hemacyte that came out would die in three jumps, one jump per head.
I figured that would work pretty well for Lephantis sorties too, and it did, but it requires a bit of dedicated 2 stacking time because the level is shorter.

I remember having to do it once. At the time, if you used a power right as you finished the insertion cutscene, it wouldn't trigger the fail state. So I brought Rhino, hit Iron Skin immediately as I loaded into the lowest level mission appropriate for the target, and then it was off to the races. It worked like a charm. Honestly, I think polearms are most popular for the lazy quick melee spam and slide attacking. Next to whips, they seem to have the longest range and some, like Zaws and Orthros Prime or Guandao, seem to have as much or more range than whips. Having said that, there's a reason why the ones I tend to like the most don't or rarely anyway stream. MCGamer generally does informative videos about weapons and warframes that include builds he's used, the forma he's put into them, how to acquire them and how they perform in a variety of situations. And as much as I like talking shit about Shy, s/he makes bite size videos that entertain, and I enjoy that.
But one thing I've learned, especially with the whole "twitch loot" thing recently, is I cannot watch most streamers. Watching another person play a game is something that already drives me nuts. Also mind you, most melee weapons can be made viable cause their mods are so fucking strong and they have the combo counter, so basically the deciding factor for if you should get any melee weapon are 1. do you like the stances? 2. does it have enough range for you? Operators have less HP, hindered mobility and shitty attacks. Of course umbra will kill me in a few shots (or ONE radial javelin), I soon realized that blasting his face with minimal to no dodging and dying multiple times was the best strategy for it. Void-dashing, while possible, actually seemed more time consuming than just blasting his face and eventually sliding to the side, dying, and respawning to do it again. They got eidolon hunting right (eventually) by giving operators a niche function. Why go back 3 steps with umbra's fight?

I hate the amount of grind required to get Operators even halfway tolerable to play as. I had a maxed Magus Vigor and Magus Husk on my Operator during the Sacrifice and Umbra still shrek'd me because lolnowaybounds.
Focus grinding is easily the worst aspect about them. The required focus for basic shit is unreasonably high and the only way to get a way-bound node unlocked within the next century is to break out Equinox and grind Adaro for an hour. Focus really needs to be more streamlined. Why Operators with maxed amps don't generate focus from experience points is beyond me.

She's not hard to build honestly. There's a lot of cookie cutter builds in this game that only vary slightly on a frame by frame basis. For example all channeling builds are usually gonna have fleeting expertise, streamline, continuity, flow, and the rest is up to your preference of defense, range, strength, or augment mods. But equinox doesn't use her channeling for focus farming (unless you're playing ESO and want to nuke shit), for that you want to stick with night form's second ability and just spam that shit all over the map to sleep everyone, then spin 2 win them all to death.

I've gone into teralyst hunts with Oberon admittedly a good metaframe and less viable weapons I had to use a crit/radiation Paris Prime for a little bit while my Lanka was still in the oven and the only people who complained were the metamancers that decided to join a public hunt. I get that for tridolon you need a meta group but if you're joining a public teralyst hunt you should expect some off-meta shit. That said the worst things about public hunts are the people who have just completed the Second Dream and try a hunt with that version of the Operator, people that have completed the War Within and have no idea how to fight teralyst or people who bring completely unsuited weapons/warframes to the fight. Paris Prime or other puncture based crit weapons can do some damage when modded for radiation and crit chance/damage, but some weapons are just not suited for Eidolon hunting. Likewise some less viable warframes can be useful in clearing the vomvalyst spam near the end of the fight, but others are just downright useless. The worst I've seen was a Vauban with an Ignis Wraith trying to do damage to the teralyst.
As for the newbies I get that they need the resources and the experience to get better, but they should at least finish the War Within and equip the Mote amp if they're going to try a public hunt. Nothing is worse than being the only dude in the squad with an amp when trying to take the shields down.

Snipetron Vandal is probably fine. Other candidates are Vectis/ Prime, Opticor, and the Lanka. Of which the Lanka can be modded for pure radiation damage.
The frame to use is somewhat personal preference, but Rhino's Iron Skin and Shout or Chroma's Vex Armor will help quite a bit.
If you're going solo, or in an incomplete group, then bringing a melee with Shattering Impact can be very beneficial. 34 hits will strip an Eidolon's armor entirely, but you don't want that since you want to keep the Radiation damage bonus; instead hit him up to 33 times. The ideal choice is the Sarpa since it shoots 5 bullets on its charge attack so you can shoot him 6 times and attack him 3 times fairly quickly.
You will want at least one Eidolon lure at the start of the fight. Attack one, hack it and let it suck up about 3 Vomvalysts to become charged; it will glow when fully charged. This will prevent the Eidolon from running away when you break a limb and regenerating 75% of its shields; however it will still regenerate 50%.
Focus on one limb at a time since the others recover between phases.
Once all limbs have been blown up it will call for Vomvalysts to heal it, blow up as many as you can. Afterwards he will be vulnerable to anything. I've nuked him with Hysteria at this point for example.
To "capture" the Eidolon, which gives more rewards, you will need to defeat it with two charged lures tethering it.
Keep in mind that even if you cannot kill it before daylight it is still a tremendous boon to your Quills standing since you've probably gotten dozens and dozens of Intact Cores and a few Exceptional Cores depending on how many limbs you blew up.

If you really want someone to tell you yet autistically don't want to read a guide, here goes.
First is the process of actually taking down an eidolon, I'll go over gear after. To do this, obviously go to the plains at night, and look for the big lug. As you do this, go collect some sentient lures, you need these. Get about 2-4 depending on whether you're in a team or not and if others are also getting some. They spawn in predetermined locations every night so you'll start to memorize them naturally. Once you have your lures and you are tailing the eidolon, pop into operator mode and begin taking down his shield. This will take eons in solo with a mote amp, so try to get a better once ASAP. Once his shields are down, make sure you have at least one charged lure. You will know it is charged by the color of it's marker, it'll be blue. You charge lures by either killing vomvyalysts near them or killing one, touching a little orb that drops from it, then touching the lure. Next, you need to pop the eidolon's joints. The teralyst has 4, the gantulyst and hydrolyst have six. They all have one on each leg and each shoulder, and the bigger ones have an additional synovia on each shoulder blade area. Once you destroy a synovia, the eidolon will give out a magnetic autist shriek and regen its shields, so either run away or have a harrow or something with status resistance on hand. By the way, this is where those lures come in. If you don't have a charged one when you break its leg, he's gonna teleport away from you. Keep popping his joints and taking down his shields. Once you got all the joints he'll fall down and onko will tell you he's hurting. In this phase he'll lie down and do some screeching that won't hurt you, but vomvyalysts will swarm. Try and kill them, though I don't know if anything actually happens if you don't. Now his entire body will be vulnerable, though you should try to hit the head/mushroom thing under his head for the crit multiplier. Once again the lures come in here. If you kill him without any lures on him, it won't be a capture but a kill, and you get less rewards for that. Also, once you've killed the teralyst and feel ready for some bigger challenges, go the the island in the middle of the big pond with the sentient corpse. Put your eidolon shard there to summon the gantulyst and hydrolyst.
As for gear, there are a few meta frames and weapons right now.

same as trin, but you can lay down some grass to resist the magnetic proc.

Keep your buffs up and oneshot the synovias.

Use you covenant to protect your team from the magnetic proc, and to give a crit boost in the final stage.

put your shield down for double crit damage, and use speed to grab lures.
Some other frames that are good would be rhino for his roar and ironskin, and ivara with her new augment as she can resist the magnetic proc and do crazy damage with navigator.
As for weapons, either the lanka, rubico, or vectis/vectis prime are top picks, all of them modded for radiation as much as possible. And don't bother giving them hunter munitions or dual stat mods, the eidolons are immune to status. For a secondary it doesn't really matter, but the lex prime and akstiletto prime can deal some decent damage to the eidolon and are good for clearing any vomvyalysts or grineer that get annoying. Melee doesn't matter too much either unless running solo, as you can use a sarpa (and it has to be the sarpa) and shattering impact to shoot the synovias and reduce their armor. However there is a caveat, if you shoot them too much and take away all their armor, you will lose the damage bonus all your radiation modded weapons should be getting, so try to avoid it, especially since some metafags will beat you over the head if you do that.
For focus schools, zenurik is a plus for energy as there are few ways to get some during the fight otherwise, as well as madurai and naramon for their damage bonuses to your amp.
I think that's about it, other than just memorizing the eidolon attacks so you don't get your ass handed to you.

Builder does not account for the set bonus so I had to compare numbers by adding and removing ranks from Blood Rush to simulate the effect. Of course the Glad mods set up will scale better, but even at 3 and 3.5 there doesn't seem to be much of a difference with this build.

I decided to test a forma'd Snipetron Vandal on the Teralyst and its damage was pitiful despite everything I did, I am probably trying a vanilla Vectis later but I am not expecting much, increcibly it looks like Ivara's bow will be better as I have seen it in action, I just wonder if Paris Prime can do good as well, high puncture.

Even without forma it's stupid powerful, but if you want to take it seriously, you'll need five forma and this build. Swap out Stormbringer for Infected Clip if you aren't going Eidolon hunting.

Maybe. But at the same time, the secondary KitGun's look neat, and they seem to have learned from some of the fails in PoE. The 16 year old who played FF7 when it first came out is stupidly excited for snowhoverboarding, and the whole "you don't have to go back to pick up a new bounty" thing shows that DE is at least listening to feedback and trying to address flaws.

I preferred my zaw to have more range and 1.00+ speed mostly, clashing forest is very fast on itself so the zaw came together pretty well, before I substitute true steel I need to wait for melee 3.0 because it will probably change everything, specially blood rush.

Making the zaw is not risky before melee 3.0, only the mod collection, if you do a critical one you should probably account only for base crits and not rely on combo counter.

Definitely this. Even if they nerf the crap out of Blood Rush, the combination of my Sepfahn riven and Sac Steel gives me about 83% crit baseline. But I'm not looking forward to what 3.0 will do to combo counter-based builds.

Worst case scenario you just change some mods around. It's unlikely that status/CO builds will change much given what we know, so you can easily run a status polearm or staff and quick melee things to death.
