I just finished FEAR 1 first encounter. I started Extraction point (basically hl2 ep 1) and I am really impressed about the gameplay. It feels really good to play a good fps game again. the AI was great, the gun and shooting was fun and challenging enough. Last FPS I finished about a week ago was Darkness 2 and it was so frustrating to play. It feels so satisfying to focus only to gun.
But the thing that I didn't get is, what the fuck is with this "creepy" stuff? It is so forced and it is just an obstacle of the gameplay itself. It feels so stupid and out of place. Am I supposed to be scared or feel shocked? This Alma and the creepy guy doesn't feel like they exist or something. I just continued the game without giving a shit about them, but people say the "creepy" stuff was nice and the whole concept of the game is about that. Am I missing something? I hope other FEAR games include them in an actual impactful way. It feels so out of shape.

I don't know about other anons but the horror is pretty bad. Oh sure, that one ladder scare sure got you the first time through, but on repeat playthroughs they just feel like cutscenes. I guess the logic was to give the player some rest between the shootouts, but they're so clunky and telegraphed that you'll know when a horror scene comes along even on your first go.

Perseus Mandate gets recommended here, but it honestly feels more like some janky mod rather than an expansion. FEAR 2 and F3AR aren't worth your time. 2 is way more generic since it makes the AI less proactive and throws in some horror based enemies that are just watchers but with ham textures they still freak me out but that's just me. It's also kind of buggy. Haven't played 3 but it looked like some shooter honestly. Apparently the coop is good, but meh.

Was doing a Extreme mode playthrough recently, as good as I remember it.
Played expansions as well, EP is still good, PM quality is lower than I remember, feels like a well made mod, some sections towards the end are cheap as fuck.
I remember FEAR 2 being okay but holy fuck I was wrong. It's so fucking dull and boring, it was a drag to finish and I tried playing Reborn and gave up quickly.

I try not to replay games much. I think it's a waste of time to fawn over a game for too long, the point where you memorize the levels and encounters where the game no longer becomes a challenge or interesting. A game without surprise is very boring. I'm glad I've only played Fear 3 times in my life and won't be touching it for at least 5 or more years. I'm upset I played Deus Ex 8 times in my life, System Shock 2 several times, and Thief 1 and 2 more than a handful of times. These games no longer have any magic, any unknowns, and have become bitter titles I don't really relate to with any interest.
Going forward I won't be replaying games and will be constantly looking for new games to catch my interest. It's a waste of time to replay games constantly and there's so many great games worth playing out there that replaying the same game when you know all of its ins and outs is a waste of your life.

Some dumbbells, around 8 pounds and do some curling, that's the only part that can be hard as the motion isn't 100% ingrained on you when you start and it's kind of awkward, check the first motion he does in pick related, that's how you do it.

You just get to get it on your daily routine, do it before a bath or before you go to sleep, it kinda helps too since I suffer from insomnia, shit like that really helps your self esteem even if you have your doubts when you start.
