Having to connect a controller is irritating, as is carrying one around. Since mobile games are universally trash and I own a PC at home, I don't bother with emulators on my phone except for GBA RPGs and strategy games. I always keep books on my phone and my reader app on so I can read during idle time, it's a far superior idle activity during the day.

I have similar bus problem answer is port of literally any game or CYOA. I am always searching for good games made on Android and it is really fucking hard to find outside CYOA. FE:Heroes is fucking top tier, it is so bad. Infinity Blade was actually alright but it was IOS exclusive.
I highly recommend King Of Dragon Pass and to just look for some. CYOA are generally decent.
In terms of ports, there is shit tone of them. Some better some made by shitty company but they are here. You will definitely find something from your backlog or older game you know.
You might also look for shrumps or twinstick shooters as these are 2 action genres that work on touchscreen.
I generally tend to avoid emulators because touchscreens are really fucking awful at emulating button presses. Even google realized that and are changing the navbar to use dragging instead of buttons.
And also I have no idea why I am saying this. Hearthstone is not that awful.

It's a stupid theory, but my pet theory is that what all this comes down to is tightening the leash around their e-sports teams moreso than the general playerbase. They use rules and conditions they say they apply to the playerbase as a whole to appear like they're being ~fair~, but the only people we've seen have been affected by these changes have been the people on their e-sports teams. Not Normalfag Joe, but the guy who got fined (and banned) because he said something "homophobic" to a gay player, or the guy who posted a Pepe on his twitter for his birthday and got told to take it down.
If this was about cranking down on the playerbase they would've done so by now: if they could sue the guy who yells about how his entire team is full of niggers they would've done so by now - but they haven't, despite all the talk about how they're looking out for these things now. All we hear about is how the 'professional' players get the short end of the stick.
Probably because all Blizz cares about is their brand, and the people who under contract represent that brand. It's as cynical as it sounds.

As a result we have 4-lane roads where we could place 6-lanes ones but really it is a case of nothing being good. More lanes means no fast public transport. Bus lanes or trams mean everything else going slower.
It is trade-off and not a real solution. Solution would be metro and people dropping cars in favor of public transport or walking.
