I think most people here can agree that in the past games and the industry as a whole were a lot better, from actual well thought out games with a budget to actual experimentation, genre definition, pandering to their actual audience and meaningful hardware and graphical advancements.
Downs and lows of course, but nothing even close to the amount of stagnation, SJW bullshit and kike tier monetization we see today.
This feels me with so much sorrow, and while I only play the actual good and unique games, old and new including hidden gems I still miss how the industry was before.
I personally think this gen was at the very least, more enjoyable and less condensed and centralized than the last, starting from 2007-2008, but still not that good and with new shittier trends.
Normalfags keep buying and hyping trash indeed, but I keep seeing backlash and burnout from them which I did not see in the past.
Kike companies keep kiking but some are seeing that they won't be able to sustain themselves or their audience which have reached the peak limit as they can't grab anymore new people and chaging themselves to be less kiked, plus new companies and devs are popping up due to market stabilization and easier entry into gamedev.
Some more good and unique games are popping up as well, as said new companies/devs try to market on kike companies failures, along with new ones, like Japanese ones that while slightly getting worse, aren't nearly as kiked.
Thankfully I have a decent PC and lot's of good games I'm willing to finish, but I still miss when the whole industry wasn't this shit.
My questions are:
Do you think things will get any better?
Are there any realistic expectations for things to get better?
At the very least, is there any hope?
