This game is Lawbreakers tier, or maybe even worse as far as performance is concerned, but since it's by Bethesda you'd never see anyone admit it.

Can you use your firewall to block out any incoming and outgoing connections that redshell attempts to use? This is complete hearsay but I heard an anon claim in another thread that some games would not start if redshell was blocked. I haven't played any of the games with redshell so I can't verify them myself.

Here's how Redshell (supposedly) works. Advertisements put a cookie in your browser, Redshell looks for that cookie and sends a ping home if it finds one. If someone's browser has a cookie from a game ad and bought said game later, generating a Redshell ping, they assume the ad works. If a game ad doesn't produce any Redshell pings, they assume the ad doesn't work. It's advertising-optimization spyware.

TL;DR Google sells ad packages with 1000's of keywords and other such nice little things on top with benefits, tech companies do a huge decade long audit on their marketing and found only like 7 words ever brought a hit 5 of them was their own name 4 of which was their name misspelled. The other 3 was just generic terms related to their business.
