I have the perfect game for you OP, a very buggy one ,though, here are some highlights
>you can be a bartender, a priest, a craftsman, a thief, but most importantly a merchant
>you buy/collect raw materals, combine them, or put your serfs to do that shit and sell them on the market
>you can marry and have children(very important since your characters die of old age)
>you can enter politics and have bullshit powers, like immunity from getting sued or having the city guards imprison your enemies
>you can put your henchman to burn down your enemies shops or houses, or simply kill them, but make sure not to get caught
>some anon said he plaid as an alchemist and he made soaps and at the same time poisoned the well of the city, so people would buy his soaps
>prosecute people, fabricate "evidence" and sentence them to years of imprisonment
>you can set up a thieves den near cities and ambush all merchants that pass through city A to B, but it's ok as long as they pay tribute the toll on the roads
