The last set of updates have been so shit. Sanctuary onslaught is a horrible mindless grind with a fixed timer so no group can ever do any better than another and there's no point to going past wave 8, yet they initially pitched this as 'now warframe has an endgame'. They've done little but break eidolons further since they introduced them and still haven't debugged the teleporting. And now we get sacrifice which just gives us a gimmick passive that is more harmful than useful and will be forgotten about on PC in a month unlike the game changers of TWW.

And the cost for that is having to forma every exalted weapon. I had 6 forma stat sticks, does that mean I now need to spend something like 60 forma and grind for 30 hours just to get back the power I already had? And I can't even do that as the exalted weapons lack stance mods so have a lower capacity so will always be less powerful than before.

And then there's the UI..

They dropped the ball on Sentient enemies though: the mods are only for mellee weapons, and you're not gonna be meleeing an eidolon. The only other sentients are on Lua but after you get your stuff from Lua's vaults and the challenge rooms (about 50 runs) why would you even go back?

The only thing that will redeem this is if we get an entire new faction of Sentients to fight against in the rest of the system.

The current canon DE put out is that there's other Tenno, but the quests story is "Unique" for your own Tenno.

So, there's more "Sons of Lotus" around that help you out and they gather in Dojos built in the Void (that was reclaimed by the Tenno after the Rails was a thing).

The frames you build are built using Blueprints, and it's heavily implied that said blueprints aren't a simply IKEA schematic: they contain the genetic imprint of the original Warframe, and it goes into that faggy Asscreed theory of memories being preserved in your genes which explains the extra chromossomes. So you replicate the frames with their memories and "personality".

The normal frames you build are inperfect replicas of the original frames. The hardware changes (the shell) but the inside (abilities and memories) stays the same.

The Prime frames are built by sccavenging relics: the original parts that composed said frames and were crushed/compatcted by some timmy-wobbly phenomena into the Quanticsuperimposed shenanigans that are the Relics you farm.

You break open those relics, retrive the parts and once you're done, you assemble the warframe like normal, except instead of improvising a Tenno-designed shell for it, you use the old Orokin parts. Hence why they have some diference in stats (they're usually more resilient, can store more energy and react with Death Orbs) but retain the same personality as the non-primed one's.

Oh I know how they work. They get stronger with each mod in the set you use on a given frame or weapon. Which is how you can get a 100% critical Sacrificial Steel, or +720% health from Umbral Vitality.

The mods are all complete upgrade if you use the whole set. The Vitality and Intensify are still upgrades even if you don't use Umbral Fiber with them, and they're stupidly strong if you do. SPP has less overall dmg than PPP, but when combo'd with Sac Steel on a weapon with at least 20% crit you're getting more overall damage than you would out of PPP, and it gets real strong real fast via Blood Rush.

Pick a tileset that has the resource you want along with lots of tunnels, make sure Rage or Hunter's Adrenaline is equipped along with Vitality and Steel Fiber and then hit 4 and mash melee until you need a break.

Well, there's the stealth kubrow breed. Can't remember it's name. But otherwise, no, stealth is tied to frame abilities, not individual mods.

Try and farm up Loki and build him for duration. He's a solid stealth frame. Ivara is probably the next best bet for stealth, then Ash after her lower duration stealth than Loki, but without the movement limitations of Ivara's stealth and Octavia can give a stealth with one of the buffs from her 3.

I see Umbral mods as the ultimate min/maxer type of thing. You obviously don't need them to do any content in game currently, even the stupid long multi-hour survival kind of stuff. It's just that, outside of Umbra himself, they're going to be a pain in the ass to mod around since you'll probably need to forma every slot besides the Exilus and maybe even the Exilus too in order to fit all 3 on a non-Umbra warframe.

Those are each 25% chance for 400 endo. The lower bound on endo per second is thus:

(400 * 0.25 * 2) / 130 = 1.538

And the lower bound on time to get a million endo from Hieracon is:

1000000 / 1.538 / 60 / 60 = 180.6 hours

Realistically, the fastest one could do this is probably closer to 500 hours with a dedicated powergayming group that leaves after the second A rotation, and over 1000 hours with a regular group that stays until a C rotation.

That's what I used to do when I was ranking prime mods to sell. It's about 2k plat per million endo and I went through a couple mil. It ended up working better on paper as it takes too long to trade that many ayatans with the shitty UI.

If you want to make a killing, try re-rolling it a few times for +%crit chance. Euphonia has one of the highest crit chances on the primary fire, and crit builds make it a great weapon. Your buyer will most likely know about this and you can easily fleece them for 1700 plat or more.

You can also try rolling for +%status because the secondary fire has 30% status chance, but while it might pay better than what you have right now, it might not pay as much since status builds aren't as popular as crit builds and you might not be able to reach 100% status chance with it.

Like someone said in a previous thread, the only reason one can trade for plat is because people with money inject said plat into the game's economy by purchasing it with real money. Additionally, you're right when you say that games are nothing more than time wasters, but most games will respect your time by offering a variety of interesting content. Can you really say this game does the same? Opticor is a popular weapon so the prices are a bit higher. Less popular weapons (crap that's outright not good even with a Riven) usually hovers the 100-200p.

When buying or selling, you gotta know what your Riven actually is for.

Generally, +%critchance and +%Damage are the best rolls you can get with multishoot in 3rd. Usually, a riven with a negative that doesn't impact the weapon too much will boost the positives too, so it's more valuable.

If your Riven has none of these, look at the Rolls amount. Crappy rivens with low rolls are usually bought by Kuva farmers that don't mind re-rolling it, either for personal use or re-selling a godly riven (warning: this may take time and is entirely RNG. No amount of money will "p2w" you out of this).

If you see a crappy Riven with 60 rolls, stay the fuck away. Re-rolling is not viable (too expensive) and is usually only bought for transmute fodder, kinda like people buying "Ducat trash" for 5p.

Let's say we're both going to spend 8 solid hours playing the game. Let's say you have an exp booster and I don't. The simple truth is that you're going to be able to make more progress than I will in those 8 hours, assuming that we're both comparable insofar as efficiency and success rate are concerned. You'll still have to play the game in order to benefit from the booster, but that's a given. Aside from that, you can pretty much instantly bypass the grind by paying up front for frames and weapons. A few threads ago I made some calculations where I assumed what kind of content you could get out of the game if it was bought as a 60$ game.

60$ can get you 5300 (if bought with the discount).

Assuming you want a diferent gun loadout for each frame, we're talking about

A warframe slot will cost you 20.

3 slots for the weapons will cost you 18p.

Potatos for everything? 60p.

Heck, throw in some greater lens for all 4, so 160p.

Assuming you don't actually buy the frames/weapons and farm them (which you should like a rational human being), the non-farmable total comes out to 258p.

Those 5300 plat would let you play around with 20 complete slots. With 140 p remaining. Filling those 20 loadouts woulld give you enough Mastery rank to reach 12 or 13, and once you start replacing weapons with their prime counterparts, you reach rank 16 easily.

Then you remember you get 2 starting warframe slots and I think 6 weapon slots.

There's also a lot of freeshit you can get from quests, GotL and some promocodes, but let's ignore those for the sake of arguing.

Now compare it to other AAA 60$ games.

I've been playing for around 280 hours, I'm still relatively new to this game. I have managed to complete the star chart, and I have acquired a number of frames thus far. Most of these have been quest related (Limbo, Mirage) but I got a few primes too. The game is a fucking grind. If you want to do anything, you'll be gated by RNG, which itself is gated by time constraints.

Far as I can tell, once you've cleared the star chart, you win. That is, there's nothing beyond that warrants continued play. You could make an argument for acquiring and collecting all the different warframes/weapons, but that shit's going to take a lot of time. Each frame has its own unique abilities, so there's that, if you care to try them all out. However, they don't really do all that much to alter your playstyle; some have DPS abilities, some have support abilities, and some have a combination of the two. Weapons don't really take any skill to use beyond the basic ability to point and click.

It has given me the impression that it's dull, and I have not attempted to find out more on my own.

Let me put it to you this way; If you have someone to play with, the game's monotony will be broken up, but even that isn't enough to get you to forget about how much of a drudge it all is. I suggest that you play it in small bursts, and maybe join a clan so you can partner up with players who might be able to teach you new things. However, this will require that you can find someone who isn't a redditard with a fursona from Quebec or just generally unaffected by social justice sensibilities. That can be difficult, given the game's community is filled with children, reddit, tumblr, and autists such as myself.

In short, you have to find a reason to continue to play this game.

My biggest issue with the game at first, which kept me from enjoying it at all, was looking at it exclusively as materials. It wasn't gameplay or working through the star chart it was "need plastids, need neurodes, need polymer bundles" and I burned fast because of that. Work through the star chart, get the free shit you get for completing each point and build up from there. Look into weapons you think could be fun and see what it takes to get them, same with frames. After I got out of the grinding for materials mindset it didn't feel like farmframe. Also bring a friend, especially one who's played longer than you if one exists, because having someone there to talk with makes shit like defense/survival/interception missions bearable. Not fun per se but you won't fall asleep waiting 10+ minutes to pass.

A general rule of the game is to check the market for BP's first. Just go to a category, click "blueprint only" on the bottom right and it'll show you all the stuff available on the market that can be built via the foundry as opposed to bought directly via plat. A completely optional thing that may or may not "increase your power." While the Prime frames and weapons do have better base stats than their non-prime counterparts, everything in this game can be beaten with non-prime stuff. In fact, many of the best weapons and warframes too don't have prime versions and in the case of Zaws, never will to the point that many prime weapons have been power creeped into obsolescence. Boltor Prime used to be the shit. Now it's just mastery fodder and plat bait for collection whores every time Rhino's shit gets unvaulted.

Yeah, some newbie could come in, buy the Prime Access pack, and find themselves at about the same "power" level of an MR5 or 6, but that same newbie could instead choose to spend two weeks playing 2-4 hours a day and end up with the same result. Id throw out condition overload for higher crit multiplier since with berserk and the rapier stances delivering multi-blows+blood rush you should be reliably hitting with 26%xcombo*(400-600%)dmg instead of 46%*(4x60%).
