I really, really want to see a modern reboot of the series, just imagine the gameplay updated and smoothed out with modern tech and software innovations. "Reboot" and not a sequel because Prototype 2: Angry Nigger Chimping Out edition killed the series so thoroughly that the only way to salvage it would be to pretend that trainwreck never existed and make a new Prototype 2 with Alex Mercer as the returning protagonist.

I loved playing as a soldier on the streets in a yellow/red zone. I don't get how we went through the glutt of zombie games and never got one where you play as a solider or a zombie on ground zero vying for control of the city. It's so fun to be patrolling on foot with a tank driving beside you looking for trouble.

Pretty much. Instead of giving us the fight with Pariah they make Mercer go full Coldsteel for no reason, negating all his character development in the first game (little surprise since the story was written by a comic book writer) and make the nigger out to be the good guy.

It needs to be Mercer, though. "He" is the only guy with all the puzzle pieces and the drive to stop another outbreak. That being said, I'd love to see a game from the perspective of Blackwatch, since the first game does paint them as morally gray, what with their job being to prevent an even bigger catastrophe from occurring.

Updating it with better physics, interactivity, destructibility, animations, etc, etc. Flesh out concepts, introduce new ideas. Basically, a sequel but as I said before, more of a reboot in terms of story because Prototype 2 fucked that aspect of it so irredeemably hard.

The way weapons worked in Hulk is great. Tearing apart vehicles to make makeshift gloves, flails, shields/skateboards or rocket lawnchairs out of them was great.

and that's what I really want, creative distruction, it was fun in prototype to run up a building them drop down like a bomb on the citizens, but it was. more fun to use a bus as a skate board to kick into a robot, then grabbing a car to turn I to boxing gloves to finish him off, then grabbing an oil pump to use as a hamm/bat to smack some infantry into the next zipcode, or just punting them there instead.
