It's a game where players spawn into a thunderdome with the objective to kill other things, loot, and survive. It's a twist on the BR genre, you spawn in, do spawn deathmatch because you need to check all the nearby spawns or die, loot, maybe shoot/avoid players in the process, and then go to <area> to survive and win. You spawn on the map in predetermined spawn locations to extract on the other side of the map in predetermined extract location. You're heavily encouraged to run to the middle of the map hotspot with a bunch of loot, killing players and AI bots along the way. Once you extract, you sell shit to traders to buy guns, armor, and rigs to go into the next raid.

Sounds good, right? Here's the catch - the gear you can buy from traders is locked mainly behind your playerlevel (almost purely time spent playing the game) and doing nonsensical quests (stand still in <hotspot> or <open area inside hotspot> for 30 seconds <x> times).

You need to level traders to buy better guns and armour. The level 1 traders sell absolute dogshit and you will get massacred against much better geared players if you join late into a wipe.

On top of that, there are RPG skills that you grind (almost purely time spent playing the game) that includes 30% less recoil, no bleed chance, 100% sprint stamina, 25% increased hearing range, etc etc. At no point in this RPG and trader system is there any room for player skill. You're not better because you are better, you're better because you play the game more. There is no matchmaking, so you'll be coming against full geared players with armor and helmets you cannot penetrate with level 1 traders.

Add to this massive technical and networking issues, dogshit item balancing, and extremely poor chokepoint-oriented map design, and you have Tarkov. I haven't even started on the P2W aspects of it.

I fell for the Tarkov meme, none of my friends who told me to buy this shit even play anymore. It's a fucking garbage game with an increasingly retarded community.

I would like to add my two cents as well. I played the game felt like my shotgun with slugs would take 10+ rounds to kill a guy so I looked around on jewtube to see if anyone else was noticing this. I found a video testing the protection a certain helmet would do.

The helmet was a fast helmet (they have a simple Kevlar lining and vent holes basically a tacticool bike helmet) which if at full health took exactly 36 12gauge slugs to break the helmet and start damaging the player. A related video showed a real life test of the helmet which failed to stop birdshot, i have a feeling all the armor in the game is similarly bullshit.

That piece of shit is the second best helmet in the game, the first being the Altyn. The fast takes eighteen shots to kill, all on the head with 9x18mm steel core rounds. It takes NINE fucking hits from a Tokarev with AP ammo, it's absolutely fucking retarded. It takes FIVE HITS FROM THE SR1MP, A PISTOL FIRING 9x21mm AMMUNITION DESIGNED TO DEFEAT ARMOR. The helmet will also eat between two and four shots from an SKS at range, but will get onetapped at close range. The AS-VAL takes five shots, for Christ's sakes. I don't know if the guy did a video on the Altyn, but I can fucking imagine how many shots you'll need to kill someone wearing that.

The power gap between people running full high-tier armor and niggers going in naked is insane, even the mid tier armor like the UNTAR or GZHEL will make you pretty much immune to shotguns, pistols and SMGs unless they blow off your legs or arms or hit you in the face. If you're in fort, wearing the armored carrier rig and an altyn with the face shield, the only thing that is going to drop you quickly without taking out your legs is someone using a 7.62 AK at point blank with the best ammo, a guy with the RSASS/M1A, again firing the best ammo, or a guy emptying thirty to a hundred rounds of 5.56 or smaller into you. There's an SV98 and a DVL10 in the game, but those bounce from killing anything and everything in a single hit, to taking five or six hits to kill unarmored people because fuck if I know, vodkanigger coding.

I didn't even touch on the absolutely retarded skill system in the game. Just as an example, to level STRENGTH, the most important stat in the game because it improves your sprint speed, you need to: walk while being overburdened with gear for a set distance. Walk. You can't sprint. You also can't strafe, or hit the A or D keys at all. You can't stop. You have to walk 17 meters straight forward without sprinting or strafing, to get one pity point of strength, while you need 30-100 to actually level up strength, which gives you a whopping 1% to sprint speed. Secondly, you need to level endurance, to sprint longer, because people with high endurance can sprint for five minutes at a time, while you can go for maybe 20-30 seconds. Not to mention, that at the beginning of this wipe, there were huge exploits to level endurance and strength, so niggerfaggots have 50 strength and endurance through exploiting, and have a huge advantage on everyone, yet the devs refuse to reset their skills.

The trader and questing system is also pure shit. It's just grinding missions of "Kill X scavs on Y map", half the time Y map is unplayable because the devs can't optimize shit. Or "Get X from map Y, but you need key Z", and the game tells you jack shit. To find out, you have to go to the wiki, then the wiki tells you that Key Z is a rare, purely RNG drop from literally filing cabinet in the whole wide fucking game. You know what else drops in said filing cabinets? The six hundred different, almost pointless keys you don't fucking need for the quest at hand. Guess fucking what? You're stuck until you find that key, and you need to finish the quest to unlock an item, or get rep with a trader to level up and buy better gear. You don't even have a medkit that stops bleeding before you do some quests at the start of the game. You have a piece of shit medkit that heals you for 100, out of your 485 health, and you have to carry additional bandages with you. Also, arbitrarily, you can't put quest items in your secure container, so you get what you need for the quest, the game freezes and a bot blasts you, now you have to do that part over again.

Don't trust anyone advertising this piece of shit, don't trust anyone who says it has redeemable features, don't trust anyone about their "love hate relationship" about the game, because the developers are vodkaniggers, and they have absolutely no fucking shame about hiring shills for their game. If you don't believe me, just take a passing glance at the game's subreddit.

Yeah there are first person only servers actually, and there have been for a while.

But they removed Q&E leaning for the 0.63 update.

Some other things worthy of note are changes to zombie behaviour and melee weapons, more mappings to Chernarus, UI changes, movement and small stance changes (you can now lie on your back in prone position) and no weird delay whenever doing something in the inventory screen anymore. They also removed the vault key for 0.63, so now players just kind of run over waist high obstacles and change position on the y axis. Apparently a new body damage system based on organ types and shot placement is going to be introduced soon, there are already parts of it in 0.63.

Helmets no longer stop 36 shotgun slugs. There is now a face hitbox, so yes, if you know how to fucking aim you can one shot a fully geared tryhard with a 9x18mm makarov pistol and take his million roubles worth of shit. I do it plenty.

Gear/time invested of course gives a slight advantage, but I go into raids solo with basic bitch armor and stock AKs only to wipe whole squads and leave behind more loot than I can carry. It's entirely possible if you've got any sense of tactics and above average shooter skills. And yes, it helps to understand the game mechanics which comes from…playing the fucking game and dying a lot in the process.

Cheaters can be a problem, but not any more than any other FPS currently on the market, and I'd argue far less of one due to the lack of faggy normalfag matchmaking and leaderboards.

The core issue is lack of graphics optimization and poor netcode, that I will give the haters. Still, the game is unlike anything else on the market and takes me back to the glory days of truly punishing PvP like you'd find in a game like Ultima Online.

Problem is, most players are fucking pussy betas and can't handle Tarkov's punishing nature, despite thinking they are truly hardcore. In a sense, Tarkov has failed in its marketing because it makes shitty players think it's the right game for them, when in reality, it is really fucking niche and appeals to masochists of sorts.

It's got its issues, that's for sure. It can piss me off at times when I get fucked by some bug or shit netcode and die three times in a row to dogshit. But when things flow right, and you get some good firefights going, nothing–and I mean nothing–comes close to the rush you get from Tarkov.

It isn't even close to perfect, and yeah, sometimes I'm afraid the devs are gonna bail out and prove it to be a shitty cash-in…but they are definitely onto something. Corporate games are already in the works that emulate and copy the formula, but from the looks of them, they are gonna be bitchfests for betas with no real punishment for failure and plenty of mtx faggotry.

Tarkov separates the delusional closet cucks from the chads, bottom line.

Also, I like the devs being sleazy slavs that truly don't give a fuck about being PC. This game has zero womyn or niggers. That alone is reason enough to try it out.
