Cyberpunk (license) was always far more bleak and largely avoided the left/right stereotype that so many other licenses did fell into.
Corps aren't evil, they're just assholes.
But everyone is an asshole in Cyberpunk, you have nomads packs that roams the freeways mad max style and are the last representatives of family values, scum that are closer to warhammer mutants packs than humans that literally sell parts of their mother and sisters for a fix of super engineered crack, cops that are essentially caught in between megacorps militias guarding the safe areas of a city and acting as they want and jacked up, roided up combat-implanted gangster that completely outgun and or at least outnumber them 10 to 1 and are generally too worried about their own safety than actually do anything to help anyone else.
(The cop in the first trailer would not be an actual cop but a MaxTac agent, basically a Judge).
It's a lot more bleak and realist than any other dystopia, in Cyberpunk it's "society" itself that is gone, not in nuclear fire or anything it just gradually collapsed into nothingness. And nearly at every turn it collapsed in a reasonably realistic way, government are still there, local government, democracy, free press, etc… too, to some extent. It's every flaws our societies have cranked up to eleven.
No one is truly corrupt or evil, everyone is just out only for himself, because if you're not you won't live long (well you won't live long anyway unless you're somehow remarkable enough to get a corporate gig and a windows 21 homesystem in a gated neighborhood with a litterral army platoon at the gates and an Iphone 67 buttplug).
The corps are just a reflection of that, they can only exist because of how fucked up the future is, the future isn't fucked up because of them.

Funny how this is the kind of game I always wanted to play and searched for years to find as a teenager(found a lot of other good games in the process but never anything like this). And now that we finally have it, everything from the art style to the concepts themselves just seem old hat, played out and predicatively boring(the genre at least in book form died in mid 90s for the same reasons). I dig the nighttime aesthetic too but I thought it was fine. The whole point of this trailer was to show Night City as an actual living, breathing place, not a two-dimensional setting for a linear video game like the Shadowrun RPGs. It had a lot of shit we typically don't see in game trailers, like regular street-level life. It showed a realistic and detailed location with a huge variety of characters and professions. The guns-and-cars shit was tacked on to keep the adrenaline pumping for the normalfags, but the main purpose was for CD Projekt Red to showcase their goal of making Night City a believable location, and believable locations have things like day/night cycles.
