>A straight up ripoff of the original WipEout games
Not really a legitimate criticism, when game clones have been an accepted part of the industry for decades, and have solidified genres.
>that's still full of bugs the originals didn't have
Legitimate criticism, but, from my personal experience, what bugs exist aren't common enough to hamper gameplay by much.
>still demands money despite having started out as a free pet project
And? You're saying no one can sell something they made for the fun of it? Is the La-Mulana remake terrible for making a free game into a commercial product?
>of which the community itself helped develop, for free.
Now this, I am very curious about, as the dude is a major asshole, depending on how much the community contributed and if he's given any recompense to the contributors. Those who already added the game to their library, before the addition of a price, still seem to be able to play it, as that's exactly what I was doing last night (and why I thought it was still free), so he doesn't seem to be screwing over people, that way.
