It's as though that whole "Loot Box" era was fucking pointless (which it was in most cases).

….ORRRRRR most game developers added loot boxes to fuck with the crowd, only to remove it in later years in order to add to the list of selling points.

Loot Boxes are the best thing that ever happened to the game industry. I love loot boxes and i think only faggots dislike them. I only own games if they have loot boxes.

every time they mentioned this shit I'd get mad. They spent so long defending it and calling people who played their games entitled for not wanting it, and now they are acting like some sort of heroes for not having them in their games? I should be used to this sort of hypocrisy, especially from the vidya industry, but man was that bullshit.

yeah, it just would be nice if they were transparent and upfront about it… but I suppose "we wanted to keep taking your money via our gambling system but there were legal issues so we're putting a halt to it," doesn't sound as good. Hell, they couldn't even feign regret, they just had to pretend they were the "good guys". I think that's what irks me the most. They clearly aren't sorry for them, if they could they'd be doing more of them, yet here they are pretending to crusade against them.
